THE ICEMAN
The dude has talent and even after injury has shown he still has that Quickness that made him a top talent but why no production and I point to the injury lost in that stupid rotation thing and BVG. When Jerry did play last year he did apply pressure at times but wasn't very good against the run and just very inconsistent. And I though he would be cut this year but I think he has a cap hit of under a million so I really don't see him going anywhere for at least this season. And with him being a former 1st rounder like Baker the Falcons are likley to again to give him the another shot to be at least a productive rotation player. So do any of you all think he could finally have an impact in Nolans system? And like I said I think the talent is still there its a matter of production at this point and Jerry's like 27 so I believe he may have a sense of urgency seeing he could be cut and out of football all together if he doesn't make it happen this season. Snafu
Man I hope so...I hate seeing 1st rounders fail miserably.
bird backer
I've heard the word on him is that he is too nice a guy - no mean streak... I hope that's bad info, because we need all the quality DL help we can get.

hjerry
Doesn't really matter right now whether he's done or not, He'll be here in 2012. It would cost more to cut him than to keep him, so like Robinson, he'll get a year under Nolan to improve.
Guest Negatorris
I hate to waste a 1st rounder... Baker and Jerry make me cringe.
Falcanuck
I find some solace in the fact that Peters has become a great player while Jerry struggles. Sure, Jerry so far has been a first round bust, but Peters has been a third round treat.

FalconFanForLife
Well I am really worried about this guy's future, but seeing as how I am a hopeless homer I will keep hoping he can develop into a player worthy of the draft pick we used on him. But I think this is THE YEAR to either show it, or be shown the door. I don't forget he had a very serious injury his first year here, but it's time to get it done or get going IMHO. kiwifalcon
If there's hope for DeCoud there's hope for PJ.I think that knee injury is alot worse than anyone has reported I just think he has never going to have the explosion we saw when he first came here.I think the guy has never fully recovered mentally hey it happens.I for one am hoping for positive stuff from PJ but again its wait and see. LookAboutFalcon
I hate to waste a 1st rounder... Baker and Jerry make me cringe.Dont forget Jamal Anderson back in 2007.
hunchie00
Yes I remember Jamal Anderson every year I was holding out hope that he showed something thatwould make me change his mind that he wasnt a bust but year after year the samething so i just gave up hope. Deep down I am holding on to a little hope that Jerry with coach Nolan's help can make a change.
Da_Truth
He's cooked! It's over for him. He's not even a good backup.
Herr Doktor
Regrettably at this point, he's done. A never was. What a shame.
Guest Gritz
I was a huge Jerry fan since Ole Miss is my team.Regrettably I believe he's done.I only believe something that I see. I don't see Peria Jerry as an effective DT in the NFL.
Statick
I think his knee injury is affecting his play, meaning I think he's afraid to go all out and play on it. He shows momentary flashes of good play and then he disappears with another injury, if that. It's up to Peria at this point. If he doesn't get over his fear and get his motivation going, he's over. Voice of Reason
He never impressed me in college. And to this point, he's never shown me anything as a pro.

muskokas finest ©
Maybe Peria can morph into his brother and be our solution at RG. You hate to write a guy off, but the pre-draft knocks on Jerry were age and injuries. That makes it hard to invest more time and effort into the player's career. hunchie00
He might not be done he might need to have a good game or the new coach could light a fire under his butt and explain to him this is his last year to show something or he is done but like someone else said he might be scared that he is going to get hurt again and if thats the case he is done. Rajhae Battle
everybody seems to feel the same way about Jerry,he has to know that he is gonna only get this last year if that so at this point it's up to him to rehab strong & get that knee healthy.Get your mind right & play like your career depends on it, cause at this point it does. isproab
This bothers me as well. He has missed 14 of the last 19 games due to injuries. I can't understand why more are not concerned with throwing a ton of money his way.Done the day he was drafted.
Shadyman
He never was the same player for us that he was in college when he led the SEC in takles for loss. Of course the early knee changed everything, there could be something to do with fear of testing it. I think he stays another year because the cap hit would be too much and DT are always in high demand.
raysnill1
I'll hold off my opinions until after a year with Nolan. if Nolan can't get anything out of him, then he's done
