Kyle Turley Calls Out Drew Brees?

Is Turley the same dude that stood up for Brees after what he thought was a late hit on Drew?

...............................................

As the scandal involving the New Orleans Saints and what the NFL says was a “bounty program’’ designed to intentionally injure opponents, more and more people are getting dragged into the controversy.

Now, it’s hit a whole new level. Drew Brees, the unofficial King of New Orleans, is the latest.

In this Yahoo! Sports Radio interview, former NFL offensive lineman Kyle Turley had some extremely harsh words about the New Orleans quarterback. Brees is a member of the executive committee of the NFL Players Association, an organization that worked very hard to improve regulations for player safety during last year’s labor negotiations.

“I would like to know personally what (Brees) knew about this bounty system because he’s not only in charge of the safety of his players in that locker room in New Orleans, he’s supposed to be in those meetings responsible for players across the league as it pertains to those types of situations,’’ Turley said. “That’s what I would like to know. Where has the union been in all of this and that’s what really needs to be found out.’’

So has Mr. Check Down...

Josh Freeman: Saints took cheap shots

By Pat Yasinskas

The

New Orleans Saints

continue to take hits from every angle for running what the NFL has said was a “bounty program’’ over the past three seasons.

The latest shot comes from Tampa Bay, where Buccaneers quarterback

Josh Freeman said he and his teammates were warned by their former coaches to watch out for cheap shots when playing the Saints the last three years.

“We just knew every time we played the Saints, they were going to take some cheap shots,

’’

Freeman told The Tampa Bay Times

. "I mean, it was always something we acknowledged. We knew Gregg Williams’ defenses were physical and they were going to get after you. Knowing what we know now, it’s not surprising that was the system that was set up for them.

“It is what it is. I’d just say it’s not surprising.''

During a 2010 game in Tampa Bay, Freeman was hit out of bounds by New Orleans safety Malcolm Jenkins, who was fined $10,000 for an illegal hit.

Freeman said he knows many of the New Orleans players and has no personal grudges against them.

He also acknowledged football is a physical game, but he said games with the Saints were different than games with other teams.

"

Everybody plays hard, but nobody goes out and tries to hurt each other,'' Freeman said. "You go out to hit people hard, you know, straight up. But we didn’t see whole lot of that other stuff except when we were playing the Saints.''

We only liked him because he play OT like an DT lol. He was dirty and mean and did not apologize for it. But he wants to be a media guy and hasn't gotten in yet so here's his chance and he's going in on it. But he sounds as bad as Warren sap and how besides himself that this happens in football! Not Mr. QB killer himself? Really?

Rumor was WFW was on the list everytime the Saints played in Atlanta, but you were never there.

I don't think the sad S.O.B. has ever even been to a Falcons game! Yet to hear him tell it....He IS Mr. Falcon!

They aren't even his favorite team!post-2-1080915922.gif

Been to a several of them when they've been here in DC...used to watch them on satellite when you didn't have to pay and had the NFL ticket since 98'! So you could say I know more about every team in the NFL than any fan going...

yes, you could say that.

just like I could say that pigs will fly and the government will balance the budget any day now. doesn't make it true, but you could say that

I still got a Turley jersey I wear on game days, but the dude is wearing thin on me right now.

Consider the animal he was on the field......and now he'd have you believe he's an alterboy.

He seriously needs to STFU.

Wasn't he always a bit of a big mouth? You know....a WRW kinda guy.wink.png

I used to know Kyle Turley personally when he was in New Orleans. Knew him pretty well for about 3 years, although he played in new Orleans for @5-6 years. He had a little jam studio just down the street from my office where he used to play his guitar and he also knew my wife from deals he did with her business. He was a very quiet, intense guy afterhours. He was also sort of a loner and a loose cannon, but very smart and a deep thinker. But anyone who knew him also knew he wasn't the kind of guy you'd want to cross. And on the field, he was all animal. Injuries wrecked his career and he later call called out for threatening to kill Mike Martz. I still like the guy, but he'd do himself a favor by shutting up right now.

Sure sounds like it.

What in **** is he so bitter about?

Evidently he injured his back when playing for the Rams. They cut him when he was about 3 months away from being able to play again so he lost 3 or 4 years of a decent contract and then had to come back and play a couple years for someone else at vet. minimum. He lost quite a bit of money when that happened.

He sounds like he thinks about that every minute of every day...
