Robb4242
Post all bids for offensive free agents in this thread. I'm trying to minimize the number of threads that we take up in here this year, so I am doing just an offensive/defensive thread for free agents to start with. If it becomes too much to handle in 2 threads, I may add a couple more threads.1. Max number of years on an offer is 6 years.2. Signing bonus must be divisible by the number of years and end with either 250k, 500k, 750k, or 000k.3. The max signing bonus cannot exceed the year 1 base salary times the number of years on the deal.4. You really only have to bid on a player once. That gets you into the bidoff over the last 2 days. If you keep upping the bids during this initial period it just makes a lot more work for me. :P5. Check all of your bids here to make sure they are correct and have been added. If they are not there within 24 hours, send me a PM.Remember to make your bids look like this just so it's easier for me....3-year deal with a $1,500,000 signing bonus (bonus equally divisible by the number of years & ends with 250k, 500k, 750k, or 000k)Year 1 Base Salary $750,000Year 2 Base Salary $1,000,000Year 3 Base Salary $2,000,000Year 1 cap hit is $1,250,000Total salary is $5,250,000To explain the cap hit, it is the Year 1 base salary plus the 1 season average of the signing bonus. To figure how much bonus to apply to each year of the deal, I divide the bonus amount by the number of years. The bonus is $1,500,000 on a 3-year deal. So in this case the bonus equals $500,000 per season. Add the $500,000 to the year 1 base of $750,000 and my cap hit is now $1,250,000 for this player.Example 2Randy Moss6 year deal with a $24,000,000 signing bonus Year 1 base Salary $8,000,000Year 2 base salary $9,500,000Year 3 base salary $11,750,000Year 4 base salary $14,000,000Year 5 base salary $16,500,000Year 6 base salary $19,750,000Year 1 cap hit is $12,000,000Total salary is $103,500,000Base salary (8 million) + Prorated signing bonus (24 million/6) = Year 1 cap hit (8 million + 4 million = 12 million)PLEASE put all your bids in the format of these 2 examples, including the Year 1 cap hit and total salary. It will make it much easier on everyone as they decipher your bids.

Robb4242
1 year deals don't really have signing bonuses (at least not in the game). Assumption is the guy will play on the team all season, so no need for a SB. I'm just going to count it all as salary.

Robb4242
Please don't go back & edit old posts. I mark where I left off every time & I don't usually go back above to double check. If you want to change a bid or add another bid, make a new post.FYI:If you look on the website, you will see that the FA spreadsheets are color coded.Yellow means there is 1 bid on a player.Green means there is at least 2 bids on a player & they are headed to the bidoff on the final 2 days.Purple means the player has been franchised. You can still bid on a franchised player, but if you win him, it costs you a 1st & 2nd round pick (or 2 picks in the 1st round if you have 2)Red means nothing, just the way I initially formatted the tables. All base salaries have to end with either $250,000; $500,000; $750,000; or $1,000,000.Also, salary cap be cannot be larger than the base salary in year 1 times the number of years on the deal AND it must divisible by the number of years on the contract if it's not the max deal & it has to end with one of the same 4 values above. For example your 3 year deal....If the base salary moved up to $750,000, then the maximum signing bonus would be $2,250,000 ($750,000 x 3). Your cap hit is then $1,500,000.You could also do a base salary of $750,000 and a signing bonus of $1,500,000. That's less than the max, but when divided by 3 it is $500,000 a year. That would make your cap hit $1,250,000.
