Mr. Right
In one thread I see people complaining that Ray Edwards was overpaid and in this one he got a cheap contract. This fanbase confuses me to no end. In any case, Edwards did get surgery during the previous offseason so that is most likely why he got a mid tier contract. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the best surgery in the world, he struggled during the season, and then the team sent their doctor (as opposed to him finding his own in the previous offseason) to clean it up to make sure it was 100%.He was priced low during the FA period. He is overpaid based on the production he brings and the injury concerns. What the FA thought he was worth during the off-season is likely different then what they think he's worth now - after a season MIA.
FalconinPA
Another excuse for what's going to be more lackluster production. He just stinks!Yep, this is what I think. Just my opinion, but Ray Ray probably won't do to much better next year.

People who thought that he got a cheap contract were looking at his inflated numbers with that Vikings defense and thought man we got a steal. I honestly don't think Ray is gonna amount to nothing even 100% healthy. I hope he proves me wrong though.

MattRyanProvesYouWrong
I think Jeremy Mincey is very likely if he isn't resigned, Cliff Avril will also be an option as well as Robert Mathis. I don't see anyone else being a falcon other than those guys. JMOCliff Avril is cap room murderer and a loud mouth. We don't need that in Atlanta. I wouldn't mind Robert Mathis, though. Wardog357
Another excuse for what's going to be more lackluster production. He just stinks! You may or may not be correct, But, I have seen really good coaches take what appeared to be mediocre and turn them into really good football players. All Pro players have talent or they would not be here. Let Nolan work with them a year....and sift through the ones that have the heart to, talent to and the want to's and see what happens. Atlfanstckndenver
IF anything this should be a relief. Clearly he was not close to 100 percent all season long. Just like lofton getting his procedures done this should only help him get back on his feet to produce back to his normal level this upcoming season. freebird310
Actually it is good news, the reason he was so flat is he was never 100% last year, I expect he will come back 100% and show us a much better player in 2012 ......

If that's the case he should be just fine by training camp.
