Da_Truth
Views huh... Some people think the world is flat, some people think cancer can be cured with fruit juice, some people think Tom Brady is a bad QB, and some people think Grimes is a bad corner. Some people have bad opinions, and it would seem that you fall into that category. Of course, some people can't read very well, since it seems you think I've called you a name even once.Oh boy here we go. I see you're one of those people that has to absolutely be right and will argue a point until forever. Again, Grimes is the best CB on the Falcons--which doesn't say a lot. So which of those opinions were mine? World is flat? Cancer cured with fruit juice? Tom Brady is a bad QB? Grimes is a bad corner? LOL Keep it comin'. Da_Truth
give grimes credit wher its due.. you dnt make the pro bowl unless other team coaches and players think your top of your position.. this isnt like NBA where fans get the power to vote. Thats all the respect shown right there.. then goes out and gets a pick in the pro bwl.. the kid can ball so lets give him his due.. obviously the falcons are willing to invest heavly in cb position because it is SOOO obvious that grimes is our best CB on the team since deion....Grimes is the best CB on the Falcons roster I give him that. But why do so many of you think he IS Deion Sanders and is a shut down corner? All I'm saying is that I've seen him get manhandled because of his size and weight. Because of that he'll always be a liability if the Falcons play on playing something other than zone.

It happens.. its a contact sport.. but more times then not you dnt see him get man handled anymore.. def not the last three yrs... Grimes isnt deion in the aspect of of show boating and taking scoring after an INT... But he can shut ppl down given the chance... Everytime he plays man he doesnt get beat... PERIOD.. the last time i saw brent just get beat clean was against baltimore where derrick mason ran a corner post and turned grimey around.. should have been a TD but it was a great route ran by mason tho.. but again all grimes plays have come from playing man even tho we played far more zone.. all i can say is go back and check his game.. he can shut ppl down if we stop this BS playing on one side of the field crap.. FalconinPA
Didn't you know? The Falcons message board version of CSI closed that case weeks ago with all their "sources". Good one

Psychic Gibbon
I think we can live without him but I'd still prefer if he stayed. My hope is that he understands the Robinson contract was drawn up during an offseason with no salary cap and ridiculous contracts were being given out everywhere. He'll get his money, I just hope not as much as Robinson, as little as he deserves his current contract.
Pacific_Falcon
Yeah you're right, maybe I should have phrased it somethng along the lines of "one of two bright spots in our secondary", didn't mean to slight Willie Mo. My only problem is it shouldn't have came down to this, he should have been locked into a new contract last year.maybe...hes definitely our most athletic corner, but hed get chumped in a press coverage scheme. if this is something nolan is planning, it would be best to not drop a ton of cash on him and find a player better suited to press coverage. Lots of people lament dunta and his contract much of which i think you can blame on scheme. if we run press and spend a lot on grimes, we'll have a similar problem...a lot of $$$ locked up in a guy that wont fit the scheme and will perform poorly. Aftermath
You do know that if we do not resign him. Who by the way is our best CB. We will have to address the problem. Would you rather bring in another Dunta? If Grimes walks we wont bring in another top tier FA CB Edited February 26, 2012 by Aftermath
