vel
Both of those teams had offensive woes. Eagles had a DC that was an offensive guy and Sanchez killed the jets. Eagles with a lead was scary because they came after you. This^^Those are bad examples and of course the only two examples he could come up with. The Eagles lacked any kind of chemistry and had an OLine coach as their DC and the Jets had an average offense and poor locker room. They got to the AFCCG with that expensive secondary though so I really wouldn't use the Jets. I'd love it if our two expensive corners got us to the NFCCG. vel
If he voluteered to take his self out of the playoff game when he could had played I still say let him walk and he still a midget that can't cover big recievers ala Calvin Johnson as a matter of fact I remember Miles Austin using him like a rubber a couple of years ago , regardless of what you think he's not a shutdown CB , he does get thrown on and they do complete passes on him , Graham didn't even jump and caught a TD on him , if he does'nt expect Revis money then bring'em back but he's not worth crippling the team overActually he did shut down CJ and that was the year Miles Austin torched everybody. What has he done since? And yes, Graham jumped and held his hands above his head to make that catch. Sorry. You missed on both tries. Ask PFF if he is a shutdown corner or not:2. Brent Grimes, CBWith Lardarius Webb a restricted free agent, Grimes jumps to the top of our cornerback rankings, and up to second on our list of available free agents. One of the best cornerbacks in the league, Grimes has been exceptional over the past two years–breaking up 28 passes and intercepting six more in that time frame. But of course this is blasphemy right? truatl_mia
It's to bad Grimes was hurt last year and he could of had a real good year if he didn't drop all those interceptions.

A-TowN.-
I have always liked Grimes, he just better produce on the field again this year if we are going to throw all this money at him.
RHEC
I'm afraid if we resign Grimes to a huge overpaid contract, you wouldn't have enough to sign and resign some players.

Xx FaLcOhoLiC Xx
If we lock up grimes to a big deal then you can count out havin Mario or any other decent FA's for that matter. Grimes is nowhere near worth what i'm sure his agent is asking for. A 5'10, almost 30 year old corner coming off of knee surgery and is known to let his team down in important situations... not to mention his obnoxious wife... sorry but no thanks! I'd rather see Lofton get a deal over Grimes anyday. I still say we try and land Boykins or tag Grimes and ship him out to another city! We're making a huge mistake dealing with this dude just watch and see. Chris Johnson had a good season or two and then wanted all this money.. what did he do this past season after he got paid?? NOTHING! I see bad days ahead if this deal goes down.. Edited February 24, 2012 by Xx FaLcOhoLiC Xx
MattRyanProvesYouWrong
Didn't you know? The Falcons message board version of CSI closed that case weeks ago with all their "sources".C'mon bro, the Marketing Major at UGA is an extremely reliable source of information. How much more close to front office can you get? Aftermath
were gonna end up with 15-20M invested in 2 CBs that were part of a terrible secondary the last few years, gonna suck. Grimes is good and if we already didn't have Robinson on the books I wouldn't mind investing 8-10M in him.

1989Fan
So the Falcons are going to shower Grimes with money and really have no clue how strong that knee is, how durable it will be, how much the injury will affect his vertical leap ~ which is about three-quarters of his whole game ~ and he's almost 30. Wonder if the $150mm contract offer will be for 15 years or 20?You do realize his injury wasnt major right? He came back after like 4 weeks. Even after reaggrevating it he was supposedly cleared to play in the playoffs. No need to over react on this one.

Da_Truth
Why are so many of you in love with this little hobbit? When Grimes is the best CB we have on our roster, it says more about the lack of their ability to coach and select CB talent. He is a LIABILITY against the bigger receivers and will NEVER be able to play press coverage--he is physically unable to.
