That's why I think he would be perfect in a hybrid. Don't play him on many run downs. When he comes on the field, you know what he is doing but you can't really stop it because then it opens other doors. Same with Clay Matthews. He isn't a run stopper, but you know what he is out there for and you really can't do much about it.

Good points. It just depends how much hybrid we are going to run. He's a very good pass rusher so if we are making a transition to a 3-4 long term, we should draft him

Won't happen. He'll never fall to #55, he's an effing monster, he'll get picked early 2nd or late 1st. Also, the dude is massive, I'd love to have him here but let's be realistic here.

Most have him as a 3rd round guy right now... I do think he will be a 2nd round pick but after a great combine.. He might be a high 2nd round pick.. We will see what happens... I think he could be their at the 55th pick

Nothing specific just mentioned him by name when talking about the renewed approach Pat Hill brings.

In other words, TD is having the same problem I am. There's no way every lineman he's drafted is a bust and that's why Boudreau was shown the door IMO...

yea but another question you gotta ask yourself is this... Which one is a bust??? baker,hawley,johnson,jackson... I guess we'll cfind out how he really feels about LT.. i truly believe he thinks baker is done. he talked up jenks when julio was drafted to make it sound like we was goin to keep hm to... But i think he has his answer about baker.. to much game tape on him to see his short arm really hender him unlike matt light, which is probably who he saw when he scouted baker...

Cappy, is it possible that TD is merely deflecting blame, and he is not the talent evaluator, particuliary regarding linemen, that we precieve him to be? Maye he's just throwing up smoke to save his own job in the event that things don't go well this year

the problem with that is that early on guys like Baker and Reynolds actually were good.

So the talent is there , somewhere along the lines they stopped being as effective.

Harvey dahl was marginal here known more for more of a temper then actually being good, but when he left he played much better.

The only one of those to be considered a "bust" is Baker.

when you are drafted in the 3rd round or later and you do not pan out you are not a bust.
