capologist
- Big changes from coaching staff and making personnel changes. Building will be very different.-Focusing on depth of skill positions. "Continue to build the offensive line and depth. May be an adjustment in scheme as well."-Vertical & screen game important and creativity on Koetter.-Pat Hill (o-line coach)--renewed approach "mentioned Baker, the rg's, our center, like Joe Hawley" (yeah, direct quote)-Nolan Flexible defense and looking for versatile players-Defensive free agency tougher than offensive.-Obviously not tipping his hand, kept saying "depth and versatility"--have to be able to match divisional offenses-Most likely not trading up

Smartphone, internet, Sirius radio check but forgot earplugs at the office. If there is anything he might have tipped his hand towards it may be they are looking a little harder at the oline in free agency.
atljbo
Now all the Fans can truly scream we should have drafted Clay Matthews...lol.. But yea.. Last year we wanted to draft Justin Houston in the 3rd rounmd... This year i can truely see us drafting a 3-4 OLB type pass rusher in the 2nd round... I'm just using Von Miller as an example (play can play some 4-3 and 3-4 OLB and can put his hands in the dirt and rush the passer on 3rd down)
capologist
Alright, alright. What did he mention about Baker?Nothing specific just mentioned him by name when talking about the renewed approach Pat Hill brings. In other words, TD is having the same problem I am. There's no way every lineman he's drafted is a bust and that's why Boudreau was shown the door IMO...

vel
Exactly who i had in mind.. The guy is from Atlanta alsoHe is one of my favorite prospects in this draft. I would love to take him in the third if things shape up for us to be able to. He could be a real terror off the edge and Nolan would have a real weapon to use so many ways. He is too fast for OTs and is surprisingly strong. He is just like Matthews. He has some very real red flags but I think he is truly changing for the better and will be in a good situation under Nolan. Ask Elvis Dumervil or Cameron Wake. Imagine Sidbury and Irvin come off the edges on 3rd & long and Lofton spying the QB, waiting to shoot whichever lane he steps up into. This is TD's opportunity to take a player with a red flag or two and thrive in a strong locker room. A-TowN.-
Exactly who i had in mind.. The guy is from Atlanta alsoYup, Stone Mtn I believe. But he has a hard time standing his ground vs the run.
vel
Yup, Stone Mtn I believe. But he has a hard time standing his ground vs the run. That's why I think he would be perfect in a hybrid. Don't play him on many run downs. When he comes on the field, you know what he is doing but you can't really stop it because then it opens other doors. Same with Clay Matthews. He isn't a run stopper, but you know what he is out there for and you really can't do much about it.
blackredfellow
Bruce Irvin is going to be a fantastic 3-4 olb pass rusher. As a WVU fan, I can tell you he is all breast. He isn't worth a darn in pass coverage or run stopping though. I think he will move up boards a bit from the combine, but even then I bet he is still around on day 2. Wouldnt mind a later pick for the guy, but not in the 2nd.
