Knight of God
How do you rationalize paying Biermann more than Abraham?Personally, I don't care about that. I love the roster and the picks. Could be a typo or even a mis-cal but man did I love the simplicity.
Zodiac
How do you rationalize paying Biermann more than Abraham?Biermann is a solid backup. Abe is just going to be a specialist from all reports if we resign him.
muskokas finest ©
Biermann is a solid backup. Abe is just going to be a specialist from all reports if we resign him.Paying a pass rush specialist negates the need for an expensive "solid backup" Why would Abe resign for less money and time than the guy who couldn't take his job? The reason Abe is still in the mix is because Biermann can't pressure the QB.
jfalconsp
Like the picks and your FA moves for the most part. Maybe I'm clueless but do you really think we'll give McClure 5 million to come back for one year? I'd like him back for another year, but that's a crazy price. jfalconsp
Yeah I saw the cap hit, but he's still getting 5 mil to come back for 1 year. He should come back for way cheaper if he does at all, don't think he gets close to that.
muskokas finest ©
5 Mil, 3 Mil Gauranteed, so only a 3 mil cap hitThat's only relevant on a multi year deal. At 1 year his cap number will be $5 million. It would be a $3 million cap hit if you cut him before the season started, in which case you'd have never signed him in the first place. freebird310
I love it, and I love the Curry pick ....only thing I would like to keep Sanders though .that guy can ball, and he has great value as insurance as the swing safety ...... Creative
Biermann is getting way too much there considering you draft a DE at 57 and keep Abe.

The team was able to fold the rest into 2011. Can't swing that on McClure.
Zodiac
Biermann is getting way too much there considering you draft a DE at 57 and keep Abe.Biermann's contract is going break anyone's back and taking away another mil isn't going to get us any better of a FA. He's a solid ST contributor as well as a solid backup on D, i'm giving around the same amount that Chauncey Davis got.

Still don't think Hawley is ready

Zodiac
That's not how it works unfortunately.Yea im pretty sure they could do some incentive laden deal with him and McNeil revolving around games played etcEven though my logic and understanding of that was wrong still doesn't mean they couldn't do a deal like that with bonuses and incentives, you catch my flow. Smiler11
I'm pretty sure incentives dont count against the cap since it's all varied and dependentOk I just read up on it a little bit, and incentives do count against the salary cap if they are 'Likely to be earned' (LTBE). For instance if player X got 10 sacks last year and the incentive is based on him getting 10 sacks this year, then it is LTBE and will be included. It is all a bit of a science, but this should provide a few of the answers...http://www.askthecommish.com/salarycap/faq.asp
