DirtyBirdDynasty
I doubt the Giants would take our 3rd for Osi and I don't think they should even trade him, their DL is what makes them a great D. If they would take our 3rd I think we'd definately have to make that trade. Obviously we're going to want to sign Mario Williams or Cliff Avril if they hit the market (which it looks like they will) but so will pretty much everyone else.Osi is set to make 4M and wants a new deal and is 30. The Giants probably wouldnt be asking for a 1st, maybe not even a 2nd (we couldnt afford to give up our 2nd). Osi has shown he is a very productive pass rusher. In 9 games this season he had 9 sacks and 2 FFs, last year in 16 games he had 11 sacks and a crazy 10 forced fumbles. He missed 08 with injury but played all 16 the next 2 years and has been durable over his career. He doesnt put up a lot of tackles or run stuffs but consistently gets sacks and fumbles every season. If we could somehow land him we could then not worry about a FA DE but resign Abe for 1 or 2 years and on run downs Edwards and Sidbury/Osi/Biermann could play DE and on pass downs Osi and Abe at DE and Edwards/Babs/Peters at DT. Then we'd have something resembling the pass rushBut I dont think theyd take a 3rd for Osi and personally I dont think they'll trade him because the DL is what makes their D and team
vabchbirdlover
In a New York second, but doubt the Gmen would bite.

kiwifalcon
Why not add another DE that can't defend the run awesome that solves our pass rush and another 30 something on the roster.
k-train
I don't think it would really help us in the long run very much. While he is still a good/great DE, he'll be 31 in the middle of the season, and his best football is most likely behind him at this point. I think you'd probably get about 2 more years of solid play from Osi, but with that 3rd rounder you could land someone who'll be a productive member of the team for 6 or 7 years.I guess it depends on our intentions. If we are full on in win now mode, then you pull the trigger on this deal, but if we are trying to be a regularly winning team for years to come, you hold on to your picks & build through the draft. FalconFanSince1970
Definitely.Buddy is a pass rush specialist. We need that.If we could trade a 3rd rounder for him I'd jump right on it.Especially if TD is picking the third rounder.I mean come on. Osi is way better than Dent, Peters, Johnson, Owens, Chevis, Harry or DeCoud.Maybe even combined.Plus he lives in ATL.Bring him home TD. You need a move like this. Tribal Chief
No, our 1st and 4th oh ok. Well I still wouldnt trade a third for another old DE who wants to be paid. May as well keep Abe. would rather trade it for a DT
Trouble
Id love Osi as much as anyone. But right now we we expect to lose some people in FA so we might as well go after talent that we dont have to trade for. Then get our draft for whats left. WeNeedaQB
Wow.Welcome to the world of duplicity folks! We dog Grimes for being 30 and having a knee injury. Yet we covet somebody else's 30 year old knee injured player, WHO JUST HAPPENS TO BE LOOKING TO SCORE IT BIG ON A NEW CONTRACT. Not only do we over look that, but we are willing to give up more picks to top it off. Again.Shazaam.

Exactly and a guy who isn't the best defending the run either...hahahahahaha..If we were going to make a move Osi it was 2 seasons ago. Trouble
If Grimes was on the Giants last season, people would be begging to go after him. Like shopping for Jordon's before Christmas.

Psychic Gibbon
I'll pass. We need DTs more than a DE with a nagging knee injury.

U would give away our 3rd rnd pick for a 30 year old DE who wants to get paid, but ur against going after Mario. Again u make yourself look foolish, blind as a bat! red falcon
I'll pass, I guess I don't know football and I'm crazy. He's going to want to get paid, was injured almost all last season and can't stop the run. Thanks but no thanks.
