Let this WR legends words tell the story of why Moss likely will not be in ATL, or on any other NFL team this season.

Many Lambeau moons ago, Randy Moss and Cris Carter teamed to form one of the most dynamic receiving combinations in NFL history.

You'd think this would form some kind of brotherhood. But, judging from Tuesday's events, apparently not.

It started in the morning, when Carter offered his (quite valid) concerns of Moss, who announced his intention to return to the NFL on Monday after a one-year layoff.

“The one thing you have to address with Randy Moss is not a conditioning thing," Carter said on "Mike & Mike in the Morning" (via ESPN.com). "It's not an age thing. It needs to be addressed. I believe it's the elephant in the room. It's that thing called quit.

"And Randy, not like any other superstar I've met, he has more quit in him than any of those other players," Carter went on. "So I need to address that. That's what (Patriots coach Bill) Belichick did when he brought him over from Oakland. He told him he wasn't going to have it."

Moss said Monday night on his postively Sheen-esque UStream page that Carter belonged in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But after hearing of his former teammate's criticism, Moss took to his Twitter page to hit Carter where it hurt.

@criscarter80 its sad how u stroked ur own ego when u were suppose to b my mentor!then u wonder why karma bites u in the ***!#goodlukwithhof

Moss later tweeted, "Cc no matter I still luv u bruh," so perhaps the pair can get together, have a drink and trade biting insults of Gary Anderson. That should smooth out things.

Moss will light up some fanbase at the beginning of camp, and make some roster, and around midway through the season, he will be running deep posts and go routes, no matter what was called. When he gets called out on it by the OC or HC, he will quit, and probably find himself looking for work AGAIN. This guy has all the talent in the world, but lacks the work ethic and burning passion for what he's doing. If I am getting a slot receiver for Madden...YES. For the Falcons...NO

So much talent wasted on Moss. He had it all speed, hands, height and etc. The dude could have been the greatest WR ever to play the game. Talent can take you far, but you need that work ethic. Can you imagine he had the work ethic like Jerry Rice? What a waste.
