This Is Why We're Overly Hyped About Cam.

When he's "on", the joker does have pin point accuracy from anywhere on the field. From 10 yards, to 60+ yards, through the air, sideline to sideline.

Hopefully with this past season under his belt, and a full off-season with the coaching staff to work on stuff, he can improve, and we'll see him be "on" a lot more. If that is the case, he can be a top 5 qb.

Good video and awesome throws.

Just don't set your self up just like Bucs fans did last season. My brother(who is a Bucs fan) is still hurting since he though Freeman would become elite and take the Bucs to a SB. Just a warning. Heh.

The bucs also didn't bring any Vet talent or help to Freeman they put to much faith in 2nd years and rookie players to all have either the same or better season.

2nd they had that easy schedule which gave them a false sense of how good they really were.

Not to mention bad coaching. We're not in that same situation.

Well up until this season's collapse, the Bucs were looking really good for the future after going 10-6 in 2010. I thought the coaches were fine, but it just takes one horrible season. See Jim Caldwell. SB HC ---> QB Coach. You never anticipate. H3ll the Saints or Falcons might collapse next season too. It's unpredictable. But since the Falcons and Saints have been winning consistently over the past 4 seasons, we definitely don't expect it.

Colts had to replace Peyton Manning. Colts offense was designed around Peyton. He will go down as one of the greatest Qbs of all time. Anytime you have to replace a player of that caliber, especially at the qb position, you're going to fail. Caldwell just couldn't adapt. For 10 years, his Qb was Peyton Manning, he hasn't had to adapt. I believe with a full off-season to prepare for the departure of Peyton, Caldwell may have done a better job.

I don't get all the Buc comparisons either.

Bucs offense in '10, was 19th in the league, 20th in the league in scoring. Freeman didn't really have a lot of help on offense.

Panthers offense was the 5th ranked scoring offense in the league with a healthy mix of young players and veterans at key positions. 5th ranked, even with Newton making almost every mistake a rookie can make. If we fail, it will be because of the defense. Not even the mighty Brees can counter a season long horrible defense. Let along a 2nd year qb.

Well the upside for Cam is huge, and he will become a dangerous QB to face for the next ten years or so. Just pray he doesn't become Vick. Great one season, horrible the next, rinse and repeat. Vick had all the talent in the world too...

Vick was/is injury prone. He was even injured during his great year in 10. This past season, Vick threw for 3,300 yards. His personal best.

Yeah, and it's mostly his own fault. He usually gets hurt trying to do some awesome scramble downfield, or gets hurt not scrambling at all, lol. He got hurt this past season when he figured to stay in the pocket vs us, and then when trying to scramble the next game(f'd his hand up).

Possibly. All qbs eventually get injured at one point or another throughout their careers. I will say this about Vick, he gets abused, he gets broken, beat up, destroyed, and he keeps coming back. I never thought I'd use a word like "Determination" to describe Mike Vick, but that's what best fits him, on the field.
