Q & A With Scott Case

Since Scott Case is a favorite here on the message boards, I figured I'd post a link to my Q&A with him as part of my new alumni series on AtlantaFalcons.com.

You can read Case's entire interview here. He had a lot of interesting things to say, but what stood out to me was his assessment of William Moore and his honest opinion of Dunta Robinson. Cool stuff from a former Falcon.

Anyway, enjoy!

Thanks Jay, also hoepfully Moore can stay healthy cause I'm really getting tired of seeing WRs going over the middle of the field

you can thank the nfl new bit** azz rules for that... If you poll fans around the country about would u like the big hit or a TD... The nfl committiee might just be surprised by how much fans and players love the big hits...

My favorite Case play by far is the hit he put on Art Monk in AFCS in the early 80s.

Monk got up and walked to the wrong bench.

Many here don't know that Case was a Pro Bowl CB with 10 INTs before he became a hard hitting safety.

Mine was a "hit" on Iron-head Heyward(Saints) Case literally used a Judo neck toss and Heyward was airborne for a few yards before landing out of bounds.

That guy would turn your lights out.

Oh yeah, I remember that! I can remember his 10 INT season, too.

Case was my all-time favorite Falcon and the reason I played Safety in school.

To this day, you can walk the grounds of where Atlanta Fulton County Stadium stood and find the teeth of the players that went up against Scott Case.

I think Moore will do wonders in Mike Nolan's system. Moore was basically asked to cover half the field and occasionally blitz under BVG. Like every other player in his system, it wasn't a good one that puts you in position to make plays on the ball. Nolan will put him positions to make a play and let him play close to the LOS and blitz more. I think he'll let him roam around sometimes too and let his instincts make the plays. Basically, he'll play him to his strengths. I still think we need a rangy FS with ball skills. DeCoud ain't that guy.
