Important Things To Remember In Hindsight Of A Giants Win

1) A lot of people wanted Tom Coughlin out half way, or possibly further, into the regular season. He had obviously lost the plot.

2) Falcons once again went out in the playoffs to eventual champions. Even in 2008, Cardinals were a whisker from winning it. Not sure of the causality - Falcons get bad luck with the draw, or Falcons play so poorly it propels their opponents onto greater things! But maybe, just maybe, our performances haven't been quite as bad as first thought...

3) During the regular season, there was a poll of 'NFL's top 100 players' on NFL Network, I know Falcons players were on the list and there was talk about it on here. Eli Manning didn't make the top 100! And now people are debating if a second ring makes him better than Peyton! Before Green Bay's run last year, Aaron Rodgers was considered 'second tier'.

I'm sure there are a few more things like this I could point to, but generally I think these just go to show how quickly so much can change, and why we shouldn't have such knee-jerk reactions.

And at the end of the day a 9-7 team won the Super Bowl. Which means the GREAT Rodgers, Brees, Big Ben and Rivers of the world also did not bring the trophy home this year.

1 winner from 32 teams

Yep, and I think the Giants had lots of things go for them this year. Not unfairly, but all those little decisions or breaks in the end add up and make the difference. Today they had 3 fumbles which ended up being cancelled/recovered, Welker drops it at a crucial moment, a couple of penalties went their way etc. And that happened at a few key times during the season (Miles Austin's non-catch in the first Cowboys game, two muffed fumbles from Kyle Williams).

It's not that they didn't deserve it, and it's true that you make your own luck, but sometimes it seems like some things are just meant, or not meant, to be!

In hindsight of a Giants win, I thought breaking Dan Marino's regular season passing record was a sure in for the SB.

Dumb media make me sick!

The Giants , Saints, and Greenbay all have something in common and that is great coaching and with great coaching comes great preparation and that is something the we have lacked for four years. We always had the talent despite what people have said about Ryan the talents is here. Kurt warner talked about how new York wanted to run Eli out of there his first few years in NY but now look he has more rings than his brother and Eli. Coughlin said it best said it best tonight before the game that coaching gets the credit from the guys that he has put around Eli to find out more about him on what plays he likes what he doesn't like and how they involve him in what is going on and Matt needs that and he also needs a team of coaches to tell him na that ain't going to work let's don't do that and they cater more to his strengths.Thruth be told Eli o-line stanks but the coaching puts them in situations where they can win perfect examples two superbowls.

This is a logical approach towards viewing the situation ... It'll never fly around here!
