falconidae
Looking forward to more aggressive play calling on both sides of the ball- having a team that attacks on both sides of the ball, better player development, Ryan working in a offense with routes DESIGNED for YAC.....But mainly, effective 3rd quarter adjustments- it seemed too often that MM & BVG gave it their best shot to start the game and had nothing left for after halftime. Don't think that'll be the case with Nolan or Koetter. Looking forward to seeing actual effective adjustments.

We will still be a ground and pound team with Turner and as long as Ryan is playing QB he is going to manage us to wins (regular season of course ) and cant step up in playoff times .Im looking forward to year 5 of this process ..1 more year left on Ryan contract after next season and the thought of getting a new QB in here with a new general manager that can find talent late and build a team to championship level not regular season success Edited February 4, 2012 by FootballRealist
PokerSteve
I couldn't agree more. I was sick and tired of watching the timid, boring, gutless, ultra-conservative philosophy which always got exposed in big games and against the better teams in the league last season. Even if we don't win as many games next year, if we at least look like we're playing to win instead of playing not to lose, I'll be more than happy with all the changes made in the coaching ranks. Of course if we don't win, I'll be calling for Mike Smith's head because I still believe his philosophy will be the problem if we aren't a much more successful team in the big games next year. He would rather stick in his comfort zones and that doesn't work well against the best teams. Edited February 4, 2012 by TNB

If they don't even make it the scenario could be them Firing Smith and possibly moving Nolan up to the HC spot. lets just hope they get a win. Psychic Gibbon
Just cause guy preaches something about YAC and 4 vertcials its different then actually doing it .Koetter offense was hand ball off to MJD and that is it . I made it no secret that I didn't like the Koetter hire but I can't blame him for that. Last season MJD was all he had to work with. Gabbert is a bust, the O-line is terrible, the receivers can't catch, etc. All he had were Mercedes Lewis and MJD last season and since Gabbert is so bad that essentially took Lewis away. When he had something to work with the Jaguars had a very good offense, but the talent was depleted through the years due to very poor personnel decisions by the FO. I'm not expecting something like what they have in New Orleans or Green Bay in terms of scheme but it will be vastly better than the archaic crap Mularkey tried to pull.2. Ryan isn't going anywhere no matter how much you wish it to happen.

That is 293 yards per game and 2.1 tds...we all saw what happen in the Giants playoff game under 200 yards and 0 tds . Those games are bound to happen with Ryan under CIm thinking he has a worse season stats wise then he had this past season ..tougher schedule

FalconWong88
Football Realist... Really? I think you are dreaming if you think we are going to bring in someone better than matt ryan through a draft and a new gm... (3-13 staring you in the face)Not a very realistic scenario... The real scenario? Ryan is going to be here for over a decade. He's our guy. If you hate him so much, go find another team.Oh and don't go running to Panthers or Bucs... Cam is going to hit a sophomore slump. Freeman might bounce back, but I feel that he'll be continuing his downward trend... I'm not sure if Dirk is going to create magic with what's here, but I certainly hope he lets Matt BE Matt. 08' version of Matt was great to watch even though he made some rookie mistakes... He was a gunslinger. Unafraid to pull the trigger and slinging it between defenders. Putting his body on the line to move the chains or put points on the board. He has gained less than 65 yards in every playoff game he has played. So before you place all this blame on Ryan how about you look at Turner also. We are a run first team to set up the pass, so when you have no run and they key in on the pass what do you want to happen? Look at Brady last night. The Giants got pressure with 4 and dropped 7.
