falconidae
I actually think the Falcons will take a step back this year. First year under new systems on the first side of the ball, couple that with player turnover and a limited draft. If the Falcons somehow do make the playoffs I think they'll be one and done again. Mike Smith won't be fired but he will have to produce in 2013 or he will be shown the door. We'll have a full draft in 2013 and our players will be familiar with the system then. Now if we can't win a playoff game in 2013 then something I don't know what to say.I could be wrong but that's just how I see it.I really think that Nolan will be able to do what Phillips did for the Texan's D last year- immediately make it much better. Also think that Ryan will thrive in the new offense.I think where we differ is that I think there's more talent on the roster than many people do, that it was misused and undercoached. Expect much better coaching next year- can you imagine effective 3rd period adjustments? I can with this staff. If I'm right, Falcons can have a really good season next year despite all the changes. MSalmon
If Turner is going to have a reduced role why not get something for him? Polk can do every thing he can and then some. We could pick up another draft pick and free up cap room to sign our free agents or some other free agentstwo reasons. One if he restructures to stay with the team for less money; he's still a powerful runner. Very useful for pounding teams when we are ahead and running clock down. Two, I'm not sure the value we would get for a 30 year old with alot of wear and tear.
GENERALZOD
If we play consistant and be able to adjust after half time, stop giving teams a chance to come back (put teams away when we are up by 10 or more, i honestly see us going 11-5 maybe 12-4 and a second div title in 3 years as far as the playoff go read the begining of my statementYou got that right! There were several games the Falcons went into the Half leading, and when the 3rd QTR. came around they couldn't score at all. Hopefully the new OC will change that.
