fansince78
It is important that a CB be physical at the line of scrimmage if they are going to disrupt the timing of a passing play. Not even Grimes' biggest fan can accuse him of being physical in that 5 yard space they have to do so.

1989Fan
I agree. the only weakness I would find in his game would be the ability to jam a bigger WR @ the line in press coverage.
Falkonator
not completely familiar with your defensive system, but i mean bump and run is typically a play call...Under BVG we rarely.rarely played Bump n Run, our CHat where usually lined up 10yds back. When we actually played man they b lined up 5-7yds back still. I can rarely recall a time.we played bump and run

Slick Skillet
Maybe because of Grimes lack of size, BVG chose the "off man" scheme to play to Grimes' strength, which was Robinson's weakness. When Grimes got hurt, BVG should have used more man, bump and run coverage with Franks and Robinson. That's just my opinion.
Steel City Falcon
My only problem with him is that he's 5'8.. and the only reason he's been so good is because he is an above average athlete. But now he's coming off a season ending knee injury and looking for a big contract. And then there is the fact that he is going to be on the wrong side of 30 soon. Slick Skillet
Similar to the situation in Philly. Castillo struggled to find the perfect scheme that fully utilized two man, bump and run corners (NNamdi and DRC) and one "off man" corner in Asante Samuels. He finally figured it out, but it was too late.
XXVIII-III
I love Brent Grimes, but the sad reality is once he starts to lose his hops (and he just had surgery) he'll get burnt all the time.
