FootballRealist
Tony Gonzalez said Thursday that 2012 will probably be his last in the NFL."I said that last year though, and the year before," acknowledged Gonzalez. "But I really do believe this is it. First of all, this is the first time my wife came to me and said, 'You're only going to play one more year, right?" The future Hall of Famer, turning 36 later this month, signed a one-year, $6.9 million extension in January. The Falcons had already planned to seek his heir apparent this offseason

phattywankenobi
Suddenly every mock draft website just slapped a TE in the 2nd round for the Falcons.

Mr. Right
The sad part is, Tony is the only guy on the team who really wants a Superbowl win. Most other guys are just there for the money. What's even sadder is that our team will not win a Superbowl for Tony. We can't even thank him for his service and being 'Young' Ryan's safety blanket. Aftermath
good, maybe we can finally quit overpaying for a TE. Love Gonzo's hands and knowledge of the game but he leaves much to be desires in comparison to the guys that are younger than him.
slamee101
It makes me sad when I see Tony b/c he came here for a shot at a SB and we can't even win a playoff game. #Frustration

meyerbudNYG
sign J. Tamme (IND) as a UFA and let him and Palmer learn from Gonzo for a season!I like Tamme. He had a good year last year, but this past year you would of thought with Clark down and an inexperienced QB that he would of got some more touches

Guest Negatorris
I really hope Tony gets that ring this season. He deserves it more than anyone I can think of. Heck, he'd be happy with his first playoff win.

Big_D
Tony contributed to our overall success this past season. The few passes he didn't get his hands on were the ones way over his head, at his ankles and on a couple occasions, Ryan threw behind himthinking Tony had arms growing out of his back. If Ryan straightens up, we might get there next season.
