keyman
I know that was a "all what the heck"game. But Cam looked a mess. A basic defense, no blitzes, and one-on-one coverage. That's all we may need to do next year.
FalconinPA
I wouldn't count on that if I were you. Don't be fooled by a meaningless pro bowl game. Cam is gonna be real good. I just hopes he finishes behind us every year.

norbendon
In the long term, he'll be fine. However, I am curious to see if he suffers from a sophmore slump next season or not.

Freeman still has a vast more of potential than Ryan like Sam Bradford does as well.

Who's to say any of those guys meet their potential? I know for a fact if there is anything to get out of Matt Ryan's ability, he'll get it. I don't know with those guys. I'd rather have that guy. Cam passed for over 4,000 yards in his rookie season. He stays in the pocket and throws some darts and puts them right on the money. He needs to work on his touch a little bit, but I think he might have it all. Put a defense with this guy and it could get ugly real quick. IronBallsMcGinty
Give defenses a year of tape on him. Honestly I'll be surprised if he has the same success next season. Plus I think that upright running style is going to get him killed one day.Very exciting, entertaining player to watch (even if it's for the ******* Panthers), regardless. Trouble
Cam will end up hurt just like Vick. Mobile QB`s these days blur the lines in rules on when they will take off. Basically if teams get a shot they are gonna take it.Just like Vick people didn't have tape on him his first year. Now they got some and will gameplan for him. Just like we saw Tebow.1 thing you saw yesterday was a all pro o-line that lost track of where Cam was back there. Same thing had happened with Vick. The oline cant block when they don't know where the QB is supposed to be. Came needs to stop running so much and work on his passing. When i say passing i mean his touch throws, timing routes and reading D`s. Edited January 30, 2012 by danight

You could watch tapes of him and try to stop him from running on you and daring him to beat you with his arm. Newton is not that type of QB. He stands tall in the pocket and delivers some nice passes and a good deep ball. He is not looking to run on every play as young Vick did. I don't think watching any tapes is gonna stop this dude. He did what he did this year with a bad running game and Steve Smith as his only threat. No other QB ever has thrown for more yards in their rookie season. He accounted for 35 Td's with that crap. Plus, I don't think he is as fragile as Vick. JMHO

FootballRealist
Cam looks like he has a head on his shoulders unlike Vick . Did anyone see Aaron Rodgers give respect to Cam after they played early in season . Rodgers saw how special he was .
