falconsfaninfresno
I know Pat Hill Personally (used to walk the steps at Bulldog stadium with him). He will light a fire under the O-Line and bench you in a second. Good hire!

Just hope it translates to the NFL level with guys that get paid millions with families.
Guest Negatorris
I hope so. Ryan needs to be able to stand tall like Brady.
madman88
Well i hope he can teach pass protection instead of yellin like paul do... Sometimes yelling gets you the same results so i hope he can bring something here.. he coached andrew jackson so we might have something here.... NorCal Falcon Fan
He's also been with the likes of Belichick, and with the Ravens while Smitty may have been there. I bet he's got time with Koetter too at ASU.
AEFalcon
He turned Fresno St program around. He produced teams that were tough and would get after you. Appears to have what you want in an O-line coach. I think the man can coach; will all depend on how the players react to his style and scheme. All of the positions on the offensive line will be open for competition, and the defense could lose the team’s top pass-rusher in John Abraham, who’s set to turn 34 in May." PokerSteve
One of the most telling deficiencies on this team since TD and MS took over has been the lack of fiery leadership, both on and off the field. Hopefully this, along with Nolan and Koetter's hiring, will help this team play with more heart, grit and determination in the big games and play-offs this coming season. MS and BVG are some of the most fiery coaches Falcons ever have on the sideline. People said part of the reason why BVG is moving on was because his in your face mentality just doesn't work long term in the NFL.
Hustle Up
I agree BVG does have fire it's part of what he is known for, but he's just not a capable NFL DC. So you will not have the attention of these players once they see you don't really know what the f you are doing. That's the most likely the reason BVG is moving on.
