Dunta Robinson definitely has seen his fair share of bump/run, man-man, press coverage (or whatever you want to call it); and, he has failed miserably in several instances I can recall right now off the top of my head. Some fans act as if the man hasn't played man and just zone the entire he had been here. If he slips and falls in zone coverage or miss tackle sin zone coverage, God forbid he does it in man coverage (oh god!). Nativebird Posted January 30, 2012 Share Posted January 30, 2012 Hi, my name is mike Nolan and there is NO WAY I'm going to fundamentally change this top 12 in the NFL, top 6 against the Run in the NFL defense my first year under my new 4-3 minded boss, when all I really need to do is get a player or two in pass rush, a player or 2 in the secondary, maybe a safety, and run some man. Knowing the reason this team 1 and doned again in the playoffs primarily due to the o-line and a 1978 offensive scHemed OC? I LIkE what I have with a few adjustments. This is a core GOOD defense....just need a couple playmakers, and a good DC....we just got the latter. It's great to be here and I look forward to working with the Falcon organization. I'm interested in knowing what kind of corner you like. Not necessarily name because I may have something for you just for fun, but more like just overall. well i wouldnt mind getting a CB with similar skills as dunta as far as being physical.. that is a great compliment to grimey and wat he brings as far as his athletic ability, But lets bring in a CB who is very physical at the LOS but unlike dunta has very good strong fundamentals and someone who shows some EFFORT play in play out... Good feet and knows how to locate the football.. idc how athletic or fast you are, you cnt do anything on a football field at the CB position unless you locate the football.. I aint about to set you up one on one with someone and you cant tackle, fall and slip, or get burned. if he is falling im game time situations then im certain he is falling in practice as well.. if im the DC i would be a lil afraid to dial up pressure as well... I think Robinson will play better than he did in zone.Peters, Walker______, ______Babinaux, JerrySidbury, MatthewsNicholas, AdkinsWeatherspoon, DentEdwards, ______Robinson, Walls_______, ShillingerMoore, _______Franks,Owens, _______.....Lofton isn't going to be here?
