Sheldon Cooper
It would not surprise me if Dunta really is happy to have Nolan here. I think Robinson will play better than he did in zone. Peters, Walker______, ______Babinaux, JerrySidbury, MatthewsNicholas, AdkinsWeatherspoon, DentEdwards, ______Robinson, Walls_______, ShillingerMoore, _______Franks,Owens, _______I think Peters and Walker work at RDE in a 3-4 and allow you to switch to 4-3 with them at NT.Babinaux and Jerrry might surprise as 3-4 LDE's and already play UT in 4-3We dont have any true NT's but there will be opportunities to sign one maybe two and the draft will provide a chance for depth as well.Biermann was made for the 3-4 IMO and should be re-signed. Hopefully Sid and Matthews can provide depth and Edwards can play OLB.Spoon and Nicholas are great and good in coverage and both excel vs the run and can rush the passer. They would be good candidates inside for coverage responsibilities with Nicholas coming out in nickel. Adkins was supposed to be a good pass rusher in college maybe he finds a niche as a back up. Dent was a 3-4 ILB as a SR. He is better vs run than pass.Dunta I think will be great. I am eager to see Franks, Owens and Walls develop. We need to add one or two more CB's maybe a vet and a rookie. Physicallity is the key.Moore is all we have at safety. Shillinger is a ST'er. He is ok as a 4th S. We need a physical starter and we need a vet 3rd stringer that can play both spots. I want a hitter at FS that is smart in coverage. DeCoud is a solid wrap tackler which is taken for granted, but he is not intimidating and does not play smart in coverage. Dashon Goldson is the perfect fit but it is said that he will get about 9 mil annually which we can not afford. We may need to keep Sanders or DeCoud and hope to find a Goldson of our own in the draft.

Hustle Up
Nolan already said he is going to do the 4-3, but read Knight of God's post "Are you ready for Mike Nolan". He wrote up the best explanation on what Nolan will likely do with the Falcons based on his past.I do agree Dunta will be better in Nolan's system. Valley Falcon
i do think we may bring in a legit NT (Paul Soliai maybe?) just to give some flexibility to the front 7. i think that we do have a very young and athletic LB core that Nolan is going to love working. bring back the Gritz Blitz! tobyd77
I don't know what the scheme will be but I trust Nolan will do what he says he believes and that is build his scheme around the players because we have some good pieces here but I can't see there being anyway this Kid stays on the bench in 2012. He has already shown promise in 2011 a has great size and north and south abilities to become a pick six machine. Ladies and gentleman meet #29 Darrin Walls. I would move him to FS at least if DFranks Takes over for Brent Grimes.
Master Exploder
I pretend I'm Mike Nolan all of the time, but usually that involves some crazy fantasy about Kathy Nolan.I know she's not anything special, but she kinda' looks like one of my friend's mother, so it's all good. I actually liked the little bit of DWalls that i saw this year and with decoud probably heading to free agency it may be worth a shot to move to FS with a full offseason to get adjusted. He just seems to have too much talent to ride the bench

RED_N_BLACK_98
I am excited about what Nolan brings to the table. I can't help but keep referring to his first interview after being hired. He speaks a lot about how much he loves being a coordinator. He says he loves being out there, touching the players, teaching the players, and calling the plays. I am not an insider but I'm not confident that we got this kind of passion from BVG.With such a hands on coaching approach, several of these young guys should blossom. With a coach like Nolan, perhaps you can save a few dollars and let a few pricy guys walk. It seems that he should be able to coach up a few of these guys.I am also intriqued by the fact that he stems from that Baltimore Ravens coaching tree. Hopefully that translates into an instant improvement in our defense.

The key to our DB's sucess, as has been mentioned numerous times before, is a stout DL who can pressure
Valley Falcon
Did he have injury problems because he looks too good to have went undraftedNot that i know of. i know he did not play in 2008, but that was for "personal reasons" and was not enrolled at ND. i just think it is a case of having a good player on a bad team. just glad we were able to pick him up. Sheldon Cooper
I just got pulled over in Mike's car. I hope this cop will check out this thread on my smart phone so he understands my pretend liscence. My picture looks nothing like Mr Nolan unless you pretend. The spelling and address is all wrong too.

madman88
Dunta will do better able to press and man up.come on now dnt act like dunta didnt press or play man at all here.. he struggled in press a few to many times and he has been beatin in both man and zone... Talk trash to unproductive WRs but get roughed up against good competition...

Talk trash to unproductive WRs but get roughed up against good competition...THIS!Everyone that keeps perpetuating the myth that Dunta is somehow a special talent stymied by a bad coordinator is deluded. The Falcons, LIKE EVERY NFL TEAM played both MAN AND ZONE. Dunta sucked at both. It sucks we overpaid for an inferior talent, but we did. Get over it. I'm hopeful he'll play better under Nolan...not likely though.
Sheldon Cooper
I think Nolan will get more pressure from a 3-4 front than BVG did from a 4-3 and thus all of our CB's will fare better even without Grimes, Abraham, and Lofton if push comes to shove. madman88
Well, I hope that a press man rhythm will do it because I'm not so sure he's getting cut.naw i def doubt he gets cut but im willing to bet if he has a year like the last two his azz is cut soon as the season is over... I honestly think dunta is still going to be the same.. i been saying this for a lil while now.. scheme has nothing to do with missing tackles, missed assignments, falling down, pi calls, or his salary lol so he has a lot to fix IMO... I'm interested in knowing what kind of corner you like. Not necessarily name because I may have something for you just for fun, but more like just overall.
