When Does The Free Agency Period Start?

And yet you wanna get rid of the best RB in the NFC...smh

Sounds like somebody needs some Midol.

Homer shades...ON.

AP, Forte and McCoy are all better than Turner

I'd Take Lagarratte Blount over him also (Lots younger/fresher)

You boys need to look at a few of the stats on Mike Turner. 1st downs, 20+ yds, TD's, ypg, ypc, and see who is ahead of him. Sure we ran him too much, but with MM gone he will get less carries and do MORE damage. MM's way of running is archaic and we all know it. Let see what he does with Koetter.

Would like to see Turner, Quizz, and Snelling but Snelling probably won't be back so it will probably be Nance or someone else, but if the FO knows what's good they keep Turner. BTW Brandon Jacobs is 29 as well. You don't toss powerbacks like you do scatbacks. Especially when they start playing with more power. Turner also isn't a huge cap hit with no returns.

Free agency starts on March 13th so we get to listen to a bunch of far fetched free agency scenarios for at least six more weeks. Then another 4 weeks after that while TD figures out which Dunta or Ray Ed to bring in. Then of course another 20 weeks after that while he contemplates which DBs he wants to bring in two days before the season starts.angry.png

And by the way, KOG is right. Yall boys are flat out clueless on Michael Turner. Trust me.

Turner did gas out towards the end of the season(outside of the Bucs game, at their tackling), but I believe it had to do with a groin injury. There was a 5 game stretch there where he didn't break 76 yards, had less than 50 twice, and had a long of 16 yards. Personally, I think he needs to be scaled back to about a 15 carry per game average(250 for the season).

Oh I get it. Stats are misleading until they can be used to validate YOUR point.

Nice to see you are completely failing to look at their production in the passing game as well.

If we had the chance to drop turner and get McCoy, Forte or AP you better believe we'd do it. You'd be a fool to think otherwise.

yeah FFS1970, and don't forget the "far out projectsions" on the NFL draft........like some of those ridiculous folks that said the Falcons would trade up for Julio Jones......

Oh wait......

Stats are misleading for some positions yes, but not all...no. All RB's have are stats. Those guys would cost more than Turner to stay around.

AP and McCoy are both better but Blounte? really? and what has he done again?

Really for me its not about who is better than Turner, but rather who is better and available? I see a few guys who are good, but are they so much better than Turner that you drop Turner this year and pick up a more expensive FA. He's not even hitting the cap that hard and still showing production.

I don't understand what you're trying to prove with this, unless this post is strictly aimed at Blount. You can't honestly tell me that McCoy, AP, and Forte are worse than Turner. McCoy sat out the last game and finished 39 yards back and and 6 TDs ahead of Turner, even with Turner padding his stats against the terrible Bucs with 2 TDs and 172 yards. As for AP and Forte, they both got injured in the middle of the season.

Nobody said worse, but if you already have a back who can do good things, then why let him go for another? He's familiar with the team and the QB, I have never seen what you guys are talking about. Those guys will cost WAY more that Turner is right now. I don't know what they are going to do, but one has to wonder what the agenda is here. Don't say wins because we won more games when Turner had 21 or more carries and not less. So you tell me.

I just want a running back that can be effective in the passing game. I love Turner. I am grateful for what he is done, but this offense needs to move into the 21st century. Regardless, he will most likely be here next year. If we improve the line and reduce his carries, he should be a pretty valuable asset, even with his limitations.

Adrian Peterson is broken now. I couldn't find the whole video of his injury, but it was terrible. After he got hit his leg was spazzing around on the turf . He tore his MCL and ACL and other small bones. I doubt he'll be the same again.
