Could We Get A 1St For Roddy?

Recommended Posts

I don't want to trade Roddy. Why trade Ryan's favorite target and a top 10 WR for?

I totally agree. Besides, I want to see what this offense can do under a new OC. That means keep all the pieces of this puzzle. Why would you want to trade the probably the best receiver in our history coming off a pro bowl season. I see why theyhateu! J/k laugh.png

What's the draft value of such a player? To be honest, I wouldn't mind getting some good Oline help at the expense of Roddy and maybe even Turner. Any thoughts?

Not sure, but I think we could get a 1st two 2nds and a 4th for Ryan.

I'm just having fun. I saw this on another board about a month ago. They were trying to figure how they could trade to get Matty Ice.

With our WR fa`s we cant even consider a trade. Isnt Weems 1 to. So not only would a trade be dumb, it would force us to draft a wr because we have no depth or returners or over pay a FA or bring in a no name guy.

That said ill be really disappointed if we let HD walk.

Be very careful around these parts KOG, some of the people around here don't have a sense of humor when it comes to Ryan. Even joking like this could cause some to go over the deep end. biggrin.png

Why can't we just keep for Turner and Roddy. Both are some of the best or better players at their position. If we can upgrade fine but otherwise keep them.

Honestly, I think it puts unecessary pressure on Ryan to get the ball to Roddy, JJ, HD, Gonzo and Turner....just look at the numbers. Roddy should have way more TDs for the amount of target dating back to 08. The ball distribution was seriously out of whack between he and Gonzalez since 09.

LOLOL....I'm just saying, his TD to reception ratio has not helped Ryan at all...LOLOL...

Do you know the draft value points for such a player?

Boldin went to BAL for a late 3rd.

Santonio Holmes was traded to the Jets in exchange for a fifth-round pick

Randy Moss was traded to the Pats for a 4th to Pats and a 3rd to the Vikes.

The Rams gave up a sixth-round pick in the 2012 draft that could become a fifth-round pick if Brandon Lloyd catches 30 passes this season for St. Louis.

Only WR that has been traded for anything of Value is

On April 14, 2010, Marshall was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Miami Dolphins for a second round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and a second round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.[6

But he was younger.

So based on this, not very high at all. I was just wondering. It should be pretty interesting to see what the new OC does with all the talent on offense.

dont forget crazy Jerry Jones giving something insane like a #1 and two #3's for Roy Williams. A prime example of why an owner should not also try to be the GM.

That deal is far from the norm though.

Lol yer I forgot about that 1.... wow that was stupid.....

But to be fair to Jerry Jones, the Carson Palmer trade isn't much better.... Also the Cards are interested in Manning if he becomes a FA which would make the Kolb trade bad as well.
