The O.D.B
I've been living on youtube.com trying to feed the football need by watching highlights of guys in the coming draft. So far these are the ones I'm really excited about. I'd like to see some comments opinions on these guys and also see who your excited about.2.23Ok none of these guys may be on the boards for our pick but if are I say take them in this order.WR Mohamed Sanu RutgersSanu is a game changer period. He could be an upgrade over harry (no knock) and could be Roddy's hier and while Roddy is here a 4 horsemen offense would be unreal. The guy is a circus act.DE Vinny Curry MarshallCurry, the guy just keeps on coming. he'll come high, low, sideways, middleways, he's a monster and he just keeps coming.DE Bruce Irvin WVUIrvin, massively disruptive given his few snaps. I know he's got some learning to do and could possible fall to us because he's a bit lite and needs to learn but I can' t escape the thought of he and Sid in a Nolan defense flying around in the backfield.3.22FS George Iloka Bosie(look for #8 starting about 1:27)Iloka, I can't find much on him but there's something about the way he moves that tells me he's gonna be good. Once he sets his targets he strikes like a dang cobra and doesn't miss. I do think Decoud will improve allot with Nolan's scheme but we still need someone to push him and maybe even step over.5.22 QB Kellen Moore Boise State QBI think this is a huge need for us. If anyone thinks we are winning games with Matty out they are crazy.Moore, I like him better than almost all the QBs above him. he has great footwork , field vision and a very quick release. I think he could be out next Schuab.6.23TB Jonas Gray ND (#25 in the vid)Gray, is the only big back I can find that doesn't dance behind the line and also has some good moves once he's up to speed. Watching his highlights I just can't see why he's been targeted for the later rounds. Mark my words this guy should be good.ok, that's it for now. I've been having migraines trying to figure out who leaves to make room for the new guys and I honestly don't know. Let me know your opinions and who you guys likealso, is there a limit now to how may hyperlinks you can have in a post?? I got an error when tryng to post a hyper URL to each players vids. A-TowN.-
No way we take another WR, we all know that we are set there for a number of years. I like Curry, Irvin (more of a 3-4 OLB), and George as potential picks. Kellen Moore is one of the more accurate QBs in the class, however, his arm lacks serious strength. If people are complaining about Matt Ryan's arm, I can't even imagine how they would hammer on Moore.
FalconsIn2012
I would not mind spending a late round pick on Kellen Moore. He is intelligent (akin to David Greene) and will play with a chip on his shoulder (unlike Greene) if he drops to round 6 or later. He is also a winner and makes the players around than better. I also much prefer his price tag since a back-up quarterback's production is rarely on par with their cost.
Knight of God
Thanks Knight, you always have some gems in your picks, who are you watching right now?I was all on Irvin, Kellen Moore, and Marc Tyler to be very honest. I think that a draft like yours would secure a late playoff run or maybe SB visit at the very least. Lately I have been researching FA's mostly and just a few Draft picks. We could actually make due with NOT drafting OL this year (since we have had no luck with them OR CB's) and just pick-up OG, FS, and DT in the FA. Then a draft...and I mean EXACTLY like yours...that would put us in a different range of success.I want to add some things about your RB. I had not seen him yet. Jonas Gray. I thought he was another Gray I had taken a look at, but I did some searching and found that he is a sub 4.5 runner in the mold of Mike Turner. Now I know that the word is to cut or trade The Burner, but you can twin these guys and use Rodgers all over the place and there is your Pierre, Ivory, Sproles combo, but with a little more plow. Turner gets tired you put in Gray (we could call him the Gray Area...LOL) and use him. He would get those 3rd and shorts with the young legs and high motor while Turner could get some rested legs and call for 8 in the box. Koetter would tool a defense in half with that type of three headed combo. With Gray I wouldn't cry as hard losing Turner...still cry, not as hard.EDIT: I am surprised Kellen Moore isn't a 2nd rounder on anyone's chart. That's just stupid. Look at Chase Daniel in N.O., the kid is learning behind one of the best and getting better himself. That is how you build for the future. Kellen Moore reminds me of Brees in some ways (size and accuracy) but his arm strength is NOTHING to sneeze at.

Since Weems has been almost useless as a receiver he [sanu] could take his spot.I just see it this way, our main prob is oline but that's going to have to be fixed in FA. Our picks this year most likely won't give us a shot at anyone who's better than we have. as far as Kellen, i'd just hope he'd be good enough to Win if Matt goes down, everything else is just a bonus. Knight of God
No reason to overlook the possibility of another receiver moving forward to the spread.

The O.D.B
Knight big post quoteThanks for the Kind words Knight. You and I seem to be one the exact same page this year. Hopefully, we can get at least 1 oline spot taken care of in FA. I actually think our CBs may thrive in the new system. I'm going to predict that without making any CB changes we will be flushed with talent at the CB position by seasons end. I also think our DE's will feast in Nolans system. Dem Birds
I would LOVE to have Kellen Moore as a backup, he's going to be a guy that garners a high draft pick down the road, I guarantee it.
The O.D.B
that's a great list. can Gray catch?Hmmm, that's a great question. I haven't follow ND enough to know and the highlights don't show any catches. He's number 25 in this Vid and they start showing his clips about 45 seconds in.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMvXZRyPyuA

joe_fishback
the 54th pick! we have to trade up some how some way and get mark barron, i don't mean future draft picks either ,and with half the roster up for free agency i don't know what you can package, but figure something out, decoud has to go Edited January 25, 2012 by joe_fishback
FalconsIn2012
Exactly, QBs are expensive, even bad one's, let start building our own. we gotta get someone who has a chance to win if Matty's out.And we can coach him up and get some buzz going about him ala schaub or like the patriots did with cassell and will do with mallet..... Then trade them for high round picks. Cost effective means of supplementing future drafts

When I heard we did I **** myself lol. With that said, we knew Jenkins was replaceable and we needed a number 2. If we drafted Sanu, I like him a lot too btw, I can see him maybe having 16-32 catches a year while we still have Roddy, Julio, HD, and Tony. I don't like Weems all that much either though, so he needs to be replaced IMO. I agree about the OL, if we grab Grubbs and/or Bell in FA, I could see more room to draft other areas. Yeah Kellen was very impressive at Boise. Could have been the system, but he struggles big time to push the ball accurately more than 25 yards. If he had a stronger arm and was a little taller, he would be a day one prospect easily. If he falls a little more, possibly 6-7, I would take him no doubt
MSalmon
I like this draft. With our first pick being so late; i love the idea of simply grabbing a playmaker. All the HD love is great but this kid, Sanu, fits the bill. I like going after a DE, possible 34 OLB--although I think Sidbury and Biermann (re-signed cheap) and possibly Matthews make this pick not a real need. FS is a concern. I do not like Jonas Gray. Yet another non-receiving back. If we part with Turner, I can't see us getting another one-dimensional back. Predictability is an issue with Turner in the game.I like a FA signing on the OL, much better than a draft pick.
B_Lo_Touchdowns
We should focus on the OLine not WR and DE we don't need either at QB I want Case Keenun he's the best QB in the draft IMO and Bama's FS would be awesome. I wonder where Montee Ball is gonna fall to he's gonna be a beast
Zodiac
Let me put it this way even with a running start the furtherest Moore has gotten a ball is 55 yards.
Thiccolas Cage
I saw Gray play against Boston College earlier last year and I thought that he was going to be a baller that would be on a lot of team's draft boards. Trent Richardson sort of shadowed the running back class this past year.

isproab
Gray may be pegged late rounds because he torn an ACL in November, pluse he is a one year wonder. If you draft him, I don't think you can count on him to be 100% when camp opens.Iloka looks the part, but he is 6' 3'' plus and may not be that great in coverage. I was reading some stuff about him where individuals (don't really know how credible they were) complained about his tackling ability. I like Nick Foles from the AZ wildcats allot but, if getting him means we pass on Sanu,Curry and Irvin I'd rather take Kellen.I do agree oline needs some plugs but I just don't see us drafting someone to fill this need. Our guys on the bench are ok they just need to be coached up.I'll have to check out M. Ball
The O.D.B
Anybody complaining about arm strength needs to watch more QB play.. some ppl just dnt get itI know people hate these comparisons but I seem to remember Elway living in the range of Matt + Kellen Moore's arm. Yes, he had a strong arm but I don't remember him pulling a Farve and just winging it much. Farve was more fun to watch but it should show that the long ball isn't totally nessicary all the time. that being said I think Koetters system will show Matt as a new and dangerous man..
