Isosceles
No new insight. Just facts. No intent to bash.- Every playoff team scored in double digits, except the Falcons.- Every playoff team scored a touchdown, except the Falcons.- Every playoff team’s offense scored, except the Falcons.- Take away Denver/NE, the Falcons suffered the worst defeat - largest point deficit - of any playoff team. As it is it was the second worst.I know you all have hacked away to death at what’s wrong with the Falcons. Some of you may hack at me for bringing up all this negative stuff.I just think this team is nowhere near as good as many of you want them to be or think they are. Especially come playoff time. And I think it’s not a matter of skill, but will. The proof is in the unsweet pudding they left on the field in New York, and other recent playoff places too.So, I think you all better get ready for some hard, tough, non-playoff years for a while, starting now. neko
it depends on Smith & Ryan developing an edge (growing a pair) this offseason. MM is finally gone so things should be swinging upward.

Chickenfoot
Yea four winning seasons and everyone wants to throw in the towel, whatever, we have a coach that wants to win it all, a GM that knows what he is doing, a owner that has finally sat back and quit listening to McKay. All we need is a couple of pieces and we will be next level. Nose Guard, Safety, and 2 O-linemen and we are good to go. Mularkey and BVG where good but not great, I think Nolan was an upgrade for sure. Not sure about OC but defense is what wins Championships, period. phattywankenobi
The Falcons just got a new OC and DC. Tethered yourself to the bridge for a moment and let's at least see what happens first. There is a good amount of talent on the offense and the defense is building talent although I think the right DC will get better results out of the talent they already have. madman88
Thats why blank and the fo is ditching some coaches... I dnt think there playing about not just wanting to get to the playoffs....Besides your saying the falcons are done after 4rs?? Indy has been in 12 consective playoffs look at pats, look at baltimore.. no were nowhere near done, this team is getting better every year.. we are as goos as ppl think its the fact that niw the fo knows wat the problem was. Tweaks is wat we need not big changes personel wise....
Peyton
I think the Falcons might take a step back and miss the playoffs this year, but I look for better things after 2012.

Francis York Morgan
Hey guys, we clearly upgraded at OC and DC and we're clearing the trash out of our positional coaches, but we're probably going to suck for eternity now because I'm sad about this loss. We could go right on back to 2007 for this trolls and pessimists and they would wish for a real QB and 40 wins.
paulitik
I don't think it will ever get as easy as it was in 2010, and we blew an opportunity. I think everything depends on if Koetter is competent and lives up to the hype, and if Nolan can add an edge to the defense that has been lacking. Mike Smith needs to do some soul searching and change some of his philosphies of coaching, We can't have all this talent and be too nervous to perform. falken
I don't think so. I actually think for the first time in 46 years we may put a huge emphasis on the O-line.The 'Good Times' actually may just now be getting here.
Guest Gritz
I'm with my friend Falken. I have been very critical of this team for the past several months....but I strongly believe that the men in charge of this franchise are very bright. One good thing about landing with as resounding of a thud as we did in the playoffs (last 2 years actually). You get a very good idea of what your weak points are and what you need to do to fix them.I'm pumped about the Falcons' future!
