samtown7
I'm not even a Falcons fans because I think Matt Ryan sucks when he's pressured? Ok. You don't know who I would have wanted back then so to assume is very ignorant of you. Players change all the time, the team name stay the same. You don't have to think every player at every position is the greatest to be a fan of the TEAM.So if you are not a Falcon Fan why are you here? Why not go to the site of the team you are a fan of? the_sheff
I dont think anyone wants Ryan cut. All people are doing is pointing out his shortcomings and why he isnt an eilite QB, some of you run with that and think we hate the guy. falconidae
Amazing how all the haters here don't expect any improvement from Ryan, when it's been shown time and again that moving into elite status can take several years- Eli, Peyton & Brees all won super bowls and none of them won a playoff game early- Eli took 4 years, Peyton & Brees took 6 years to win their first. There is no reason to think Ryan won't improve his game.Ryan needs to pick up his game in the playoffs- so does the coaching staff and the rest of the team. FalconinPA
Keep on dreaming. His best days are behind him.Is this fact or opinion? I truly hope you are wrong for the Falcons sake. I remember people saying the same thing about Brees before he joined the Saints. And no, I am not comparing Ryan to Brees. You just never know. joe_fishback
who said cut matt ryan? I for one don't wanna hear anymore excuses about mm or the oline, or secondary, his playoff performances speak for themselves and even he admitted that he has to play better. he needs to get his pocket prescence and accuracy better, with that said noone who is a fan wouldn't agree that he's the best overall qb this franchise has had on and off the field. but it's time for the team to move past one and dunn meaning he has to play alot better in the playoffs and if he doesn't get it done in a year or two adios

(i dont mean to be such a hater but he really pissed me off this season).

Trouble
It's because he doesn't have the "physical tools" to be elite. Yet, Jamarcus Russell had everything these fools are begging Ryan to have and he fell on his face. I need nothing to tell me that he is a good QB than the players ranking him the #52 player in the NFL. 43 wins while carrying a trash team to glory for 4 years. Most of the bashers are nothing but Vick fans that don't realize how inept this franchise was before Ryan.I almost fell out my chair when i read that!!!!!! ltstorm2
Where have I said cut Ryan? I said he's not good enough to get us over the hump and we need playmakers on D to counter his uncanny ability to not show up in the playoffs. If you don't think he's good enough for us to get over the hump then he should be cut. Who are you replacing him with that doesn't need a good defense?
LADBABY
People like to complain but Ryan is not going anywhere. He is goingto have to add a screen pass to his repertoire but it will help him wingames. Other than that just keep doing what he has been doing andkick it up a notch with some fresh ideas. The other pieces around him are going to be better next year. Thiso-line will be addressed. If they trot out the same bunch I will be verysurprised.

vel
I think 0-3 in the playoff is a pretty good basis. Yes I am a Vick fan. He's exciting to watch. I was a Ryan fan but he's been digressing after his rookie year. He doesn't play with fire anymore. The last playoff game against the Giants where he looked like a deer caught in the headlights was the final straw for me. The QB has to be the leader. If you're scared to make a play, you shouldn't be playingRegressing? His stats have gotten better each season. He was a Pro Bowler last year, he wasn't his rookie year. That's what I mean when I say baseless. It's a pure opinionated assessment of Ryan. Yes I agree that he isn't as macho as year 1, I attribute that more to MM's pussified approach to being an OC. The playoff game, MM went into it with a lackluster gameplan because he didn't even believe he could outscheme the Giants. As a result, Ryan is left looking stupid trying to play Hero. He couldn't. Yes he is 0-3 in the playoffs, but so is the rest of the team. I would put money right now that we win a playoff game next year. Easy. Too much talent to score 0 points. You have to try hard to score 0 points.
Guest Gritz
There's plenty of chest puffing and bull**** from both sides. When posters such as FalconinPA and myself express what sounds like (to me) reasonable concerns about some of the flaws in Ryan's game we get thrown in there with the obvious trolls and agenda posters...I'm always going to call it like I see it....Doesn't mean I'm right and you're wrong. But being labeled something by someone who I don't even know doesn't intimidate me in the least.I laugh at it.
