No matter how many great QBs you compare Ryan to, it doesn't change the fact he is consistently choking when the team needs him the most.

More like the rest of the team and the coaches are choking. The choking on this team starts and ends with Mike Smith. his archaic philosophies have put this team in this position.

No one steps up when Matt is struggling and that's the problem. The team plays better when Matt is on. When Smitty and Mularkey put the handcuffs on, the entire offense shut down.

That's what I'm talking about. His stats that look good came from playing crappy teams. Play a good team and he chokes, urinates on himself and will wear pampers next year.

Bob Sanders played lights out in the playoffs.

So the Falcons loose because Ryan chokes

and the Colts loose because of great play

colts never never loose because Manning choked

Falcons never never loose because Tuck and company played great

interesting

I can't understand what you're trying to say

You said atl always looses playoff games because Ryan chokes.

You said Colts lost playoff games because Bob Sanders played great.

WHY different excuses??????

Why can't you say that the reason for both teams loosing was because their QB choked. .

Why do you say Rayn is the only QB that choked in a loss?

They couldn't even get their team to the point where it is called choking if you lose. Choking means you are expected to win and don't. So yes, the team choked. But that doesn't make Ryan a bad QB or that he can't improve. It's amazing how you guys think improvement is an impossible feat.

He has played 4 years of NFL football. He is already on the cusp of top 10 QBs, if not in it. He has another 10-12 years left in him. He's going to get better each year.

Yes, both QBs choke and continue to choke in the playoffs. I never said the reason the Colts lose was because of Bob Sanders. Bob Sanders and the D stepping up is the reason why the Colts won. Manning didn't play that great during the playoffs either

Yet you call Manning's losses an anamoly but noty Ryans?

I just did, Sam!

Dam you wanna take an electric knife to me throat? Jeez. Creepy.

I tell you what. Let';s work it out on the football field. Maybe Rev Hal can hook it up for us at the Branch. Me vs You. I'm old but I think I still know how to play football. In fact I'm confident I can embarass you. Ask Hal to hook it up. Maybe JayAdams can tape it for the board to see.

The team had the same philosophies the whole season. If Matt is all of a sudden starting to struggle when he gets to the playoffs, that is indeed choking.

The whole team is struggling. Turner struggling, White dropping balls. julio covered, when the pocket collapses the receivers aren't coming back to bail Matt out. RBs drop dump offs and out of position, Mularkey and Smith admitted that they took the deep routes and receivers out of the middle of the field becuase they didn't trust the OL.

There are so many variables, but what it comes down to, is that Mike Smith and Mike Mularkey were scared of the Giants, gameplanned conceding the Giants strengths instead of challenging them, and set their players up for failure.

Ryan, Roddy, and Turner deserve their share of heat, but I can't expect greatness out of players that the coaches refuse to let be great.

he's gotta win that no holds barred kick boxing championship before he pitches that World series game.

No I'll get flamed for this but to me (after over 40 years of trapsing through the swamps with the Falocns)

10 to 15 yearrs of consective winng seasons is a much more savoring thought than 1 super bowl.

That's just me you are welcome to your opinion.

If I had to chose I would agree with you. These last 4 years have really been fun going to the games. The last time the Chiefs won the Superbowl was the last time they were in the Superbowl. That year was 1970.

Rodgers, Brees, Manning, Cutler, Roethleisberger, Brady, Vick. Basically all the QBs that don't get happy feet and curl up like a baby when they see pressure.

We had Vick. He was useless, to be honest. Had 1 good season (2004). How about you root for one of those teams then? If you have so much spite for a QB, your 254 posts won't be missed.

You wouldn't have wanted Rodgers 2 years ago.

You wouldn't have wanted Brees in 2008.

I don't want Cutler.

Everybody wants a Manning or Brady.

Vick isn't a winner.

Big Ben is never going to be a Falcon.

So basically, you want either a once in a generation QB (Manning, Brady), a late bloomer QB (Brees), a QB who got a chance to develop behind a HOFer (Rodgers), or a gun slinger (Cutler, Ben). You wouldn't have wanted Brees in San Diego. He wasn't a top 10 QB when he was there (and don't try to act like he was). He leaned on LT a lot. But he got an OLine, a good WR and a top OC and took off.

The same sure can happen with Ryan. He finally has an OC who will pass the ball further than 10 yards, not lean so much on a 1 dimensional RB, and they are fixing the OLine. But you don't want to hear that because you aren't even a Falcons fan.

I love your post it's sound reasoning in a "fan" storm of confusion.
