SacFalcFan
it's really amazing how fast someone's health deteriorates when they stop doing something they loved their whole life. i have seen people who retire and are miserable because they are no longer working and they pass quickly after that. Four weeks after coaching his last game, on January 26, 1983, he passed away. Paterno referenced Coach Bryant's passing several times when asked why he was still coaching after all those years. ATLBrave
It's amazing how quickly people's health deteriorates regardless. My grandmother at 97 was diagnosed with leukemia and died 3 months later. As despicable as his actions, or lack thereof, involving Sandusky were, the man still did some great things in his life, football aside. I hope the end comes painless for him, and quickly. My grandfather had a stroke at 94 and not soon after passed. My grandmother, who up until then, had been in good health went downhil fast. After just a few months, she passed as well. CrimsonKat
Editor of Penn State's Student Newspaper resigns for their part in reporting that Joe Paterno had passed away. That was quick.
The Genesis
Regardless of false rumors, I predicted that Paterno would be dead within 6 months of all of this happening.I'm convinced that Penn State football was acting as some source of life support for the vampire known as Joe Paterno. The Genesis
So a Catholic Priest walks into Joe Paterno's hospital room.......and says "You've done us proud" before reading him his last rites.Hm, that's not actually funny. More than likely true, but not all that funny. I'll think of something else.
Atlanta_Dawgs46
This college forum is more reasonable and understanding than the main board. R.I.P. Joe Pa. Sad that his career had to end the way it did.
