vel
This kid was a stud at the Shrine game. I know it's not over yet, but he didn't allow 1 pressure in the passing game and was blowing holes in the running game so far. He is too big to bull rush and has good feet to get to the second level and stick. He may only last to the 3rd. I know it's "just the Shrine game", but he is showing up. He could be a real steal. A-TowN.-
I agree Brooks has been pretty dang impressive. Reminds me a little of Nicks. He is in my next mock in the 3rd. I hope we can get him then. He will be a steal and a solid RG in the NFL. Has all the tools
atljbo
Yea.. Ive had him as our 3rd round pick for like 2 months... Ive seen a couple of Miami of Ohio games.. The guy has ALLL THE TOOLS to start at RG... I thought of Nicks when i saw the guy playing... A HUGE guy that moves really good for a man his size... Also We have had scouts at mutiple Miami of Ohio games. The thing that i hate is since he has shined in this game now... Will he make it to our 3rd round pick

Yeah that's the only thing I don't like about these evaluation games is how under the radar steals turn into risers. I still think we can get him though
The Don™
He looks like he carries his weight really well. Especially being 350+ pounds.
PapaJoe
Brooks looked pretty good tonight. You can see room for improvement but from what I've already read about his work this week in practices he has a good attitude and shows to be open to coaching and is already improving. The East DL was often shifted so that he had no one to block or he was double-teaming with the C on the DT. He got to the LBs but wasn't particulary great when he arrived. When he got to go 1-on-1 he was winning the run blocks and dominating. He looked good in pass block but he isn't the most mobile OLman you'll see. He does appear to be able to handle bull rushes well but he can be beaten on the lateral moves. SBorBust
Do you guys still like him as the 54th pick in the draft, assuming Osemele and the Midwestern St kid are gone?
Psychic Gibbon
Osemele, Brooks, and Silatolu are my top choices of players they could possibly get. I doubt Osemele will last to the 54th pick but Brooks and Silatolu could potentially last to the 3rd round pick.
SBorBust
The general consensus is that Brooks in the 3rd is a quality pick....I'm just curious how many people would like him in the 2nd if there was a run on guards. I think he will make it to our 3rd round pick unless he just kills it at the combine and interviews

We probably won't hear of him again until his pro day, unless he gets invited to one of the regional combines.

I think Brooks, Osemele, and Silatolu are good fits at that spot.
Rai
I'd love the combination of going Osemele in the 2nd and then Potter in the 3rd. I've had both guys in my small board that I posted in Bierfann's topic and I still really like them. At the time, Potter was projected a late 2nd so it was almost impossible we'd be able to get both but his stock has fallen a little and now we could possibly have both guys. I'd be really pleased if we could grab them two.
