Trouble
Do you think our fans go to far harassing other teams fans? Wasnt it a Saints fans who shot two 49er fans at a Applebees after that game? The San Francisco 49ers and the NFL have adopted extraordinary security measures for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the New York Giants after New Orleans Saints fans complained of harassment by unruly 49ers faithful last week.Undercover police will be dressed in Giants' garb and on the lookout for nasty fans. Giants ticketholders will be handed a card as they enter Candlestick Park with details on how to contact police if they feel threatened. And more security cameras and undercover police officers will be in place to identify abusive fans.Season ticketholders have also been warned to follow the NFL Fan Code of Conduct: no foul or abusive language or obscene gestures and no verbal or physical abuse of opposing team fans.http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8262f9d3/article/49ers-take-zerotolerance-approach-after-saints-fans-complain
Minus Whale
I'm fine with that. If you act like a belligerent *** at the games, I don't care if you end up in the pokey (see Alabama fan). It's just a game.
paulitik
I went to the Niners game in 09, the one we won 45-10, they were the nicest fans I've ever encountered. The old Mayor, Willy Brown, offered a bunch of Falcons fans a ride back to Chinatown, he chartered a bus, and gave everyone he could round up a free ride. I had a great experience. This is proabably the typical Ain't scum, drinking too much and acting like idiots, then blaming the home team when things get ugly.I'd go back to a game at Candlestick in a second. Trouble
The 2 times that strike me was the Vikes fans getting in the fight w/ a falcon fan and his girland the Eagles throwing iceballs at 49er fans.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdW-pScL6yUIm cool with people being rude or throwing the bird. But if its family, be chilled on it and if it leads to violence or harm that's going to far.
Steel City Falcon
I don't really care... Some people happen to be act dumb as fu*k.. they just happen to be fans as well. As long as they don't start with me than I'm fine. He have to watch the Falcons on the road rather than at home because I live far away. I've been to Heinz Field, the dog pound in Cleveland, Baltimore, and Met Life where the Jets/Giants play. I never have any problems because I don't act like an idiot. Trouble
Why? Not only is it trashy and disrespectful, it is completely juvenile.People get hammered before games and take games way to serious. I don't care about that. But its the taking things just to far or non stop harassing of people that's not needed. Its kinda a take the lesser of all evils approach. You know something is gonna happen. So why not be cool with the stuff just ment to be clowning.

You never know how things can turn out.

You never know how things can turn out.This. I talked crazy smack to a Miami fan at our preseason game, but when we left in the 3rd quarter (I had the kids with us and they were tired), I shook his hand and told him to enjoy the game. It's one thing to talk smack. It's another to just be a jerk.
Big_D
I used to drink too much both before and during the game. I would get that bad *** mode going. One game, an opposing team player was harrassing Falcon fans. Would I allow him to get away with this? No way! I left my seat and stumbled down to the edge of the stands shaking my fist in his face. On the field security grabbed me. Why I wasn't ejected from the dome I'll never know. Alcohol is the root of the majority of fan disagreements that end in stupid fistdicuffs. muskokas finest ©
Why does supporting your own team necessitate hatred of every opponent? It's expensive to attend a sporting event and if I was a franchise owner, I would do everything to make sure the unruly minority doesn't ruin it for the rest of the crowd, thus endangering my chance to continue collecting their money.
