I agree, I'm not a big Ryan fan myself, but love the Falcons. He needs to show me something when it counts, I'm tired of him putting up #'s against the below average teams, and doesn't even show up against elite teams.

O-line or no O-line you gotta make plays at some point. He is very gun shy and that drives me crazy.

I hope your money is well spent this year and we make it to the superbowl!

I want to see a picture of these tickets. I don't believe you. Even then, he's probably one of those scumbags that sells his seats to Ain'ts fans/

we have got a quite a few of those ticket holders. Either that or they put on their saints jerseys on. The dome was completely infested last saints game. Kind of sickening if you ask me..

Sad. We have fans like that.

It was sad when Vick was here, when a certain segment of the fanbase couldn't accept him, and it's just as sad now. Racism is racism. Atlanta has such an issue dealing with racial issues. You can't even have a conversation down there without it turning into a freaking melee. Everyone is a victim. No one wants to resolve anything.

I dont trust this **** bro. QB is key. I wont renew my tix if I dont want to support my Qb & we got a good one in Matty Ice.

He smells like a AINT to me.

sucks to be you, Matt Ryan is going to be here for another decade.

Glad to hear the OP renewed. Hating on Ryan is sad though. Ryan will probably have a great career, but guys like this act like he is some kind of bust. I guessed he'd rather have the dim witted and often hurt Vick back.

I don't recall Vick getting any type of harsh treatment for the color of his skin. In fact I recall overwhelming support for the guy, even though it was clear that he quit on the team torward the end. Even when he was in trouble with the law, most wanted it not to be true, and to see what his future in Atlanta would be like.

Yet with Ryan, we seem to have a lot on here who think he is just a terrible Qb. Tim Couch, Brady Quinn, David Carr, and Joey Harrington, where all bust, but there are people on here who think of Ryan like these guys. look at his numbers people. He is a good Qb. He needs solid coaching, and a good defense, and you'll see this team take off, as if 4 staright winning seasons is not evidence enough.

I'm not embracing mediocrity, because Ryan and the team do need to make more improvements, but to not like him as our QB is ridiculous.

There was definitely small faction of "never accept a black QB" types on the boards. They were usually banned fairly quickly. I was living in Macon when he was drafted, and I remember a few hicks at the bar talking smack about him. I'm sure there were more that weren't vocal They were defitnitely there, although they're not as vocal as the Ryan haters.

I'm going to have to agree with paulitik on this one. Ryan gets alot of heat and I admit i'm pretty hard on him myself but it wasn't as bad as when Vick was here. As soon as he was drafted it became a big issue. the whole city was divided and it still is and unfortunetly Ryan is caught in the crossfire due to how Vick was treated so a small minority are doing it just for some revenge. I'm one of his biggest criticts but even I can admit that a little bit of the animosity thats for him is for the way Vick was treated but not as bad as some try to make it, way before the dog stuff my I add. That also goes for Ryan's biggest fans too. They praise him just because he's not Vick but nobody really wants to talk about that.

Anyways I've said my peace but the last thing i want to add is.....stop with the nicknames for Ryan, he hasn't earned any of them good or bad. Ice and lice should be discontinued until he does anything of notice that the nation can recognize.

well then it sucks to be all of us, because if you're right, this team isn't going anywhere either for another decade. matt ryan did not show ONE SINGLE TIME this year that he was capable of performing at a high level against good competition and people want to call this punk elite or even on the brink of eliteness. what a bunch of dumb ******* hicks

yeah, there were a few, but back then there was so much support for him that most people dared not to say anything. The love for vick on here was outrageous at times, even after it became apparent that he sucked. For all the talk about 'Ryannettes" they pale in comparison to the Vick suckers that used to dominate around here, and are still present in Atlanta. Even the ones that were on his knob 24/7 got ripped if they tried to come up for air. TO many he was the golden boy, to some he still is, simply because of what he represented for the city of Atlanta.

Some of y'all might not have been around during the Vick days, but there was definitely an element that hated Vick because of the type of person he was (if not just skin color, then because he was "hood"). Lots of "thug" codewords and innuendo before he ever did anything wrong.

Then, of course, there was also an element that defended him blindly even after it became apparent that he was giving up on the team, not practicing, flipping off fans, smoking L's in Visions VIP, attempting to smuggle pot through Hartsfield, and ultimately murdering dogs and gambling on it.
