Soo............... Where Does Peyton Land?

I know they won't be an option, but, still, can't hurt to imagine "what if?".

Freeman is the Bucs franchise qb. Obviously with the exception of Peyton, I believe they should ignore (as they will anyway) all Qbs coming out either from the draft or FA.

That being said..

Peyton would be a godsend for the Bucs. He would rejuvenate the entire franchise. Every home game, the stadium would be sold out. Faith would instantly be restored for the fans, in their team.

I like the Bucs defense. They're young, they're inexperienced. Once they get a little maturity under their belt and a system that suits them best, I believe they could be a dangerous unit.

The Bucs offense would need some upgrades though. Maybe a FA WR or two. An upgraded Oline. I think Peyton could excel there. That kind of Bucs team....would have the potential (potential isn't the same as "They will") to destroy the Panthers, Falcons and Saints.

Thoughts?

I know the popular belief is, if released, Peyton will end up as a Redskin. I believe him and Shanny would but heads too much. Peyton seems to like doing things his way. With an offense bent around to fit his style. Shanny appears even more stubborn than normal, during his tenure with the Skins.

Don't you have midterms or something?

Peyton will not go to the Skins they have no weapons and the buccies are a collective joke right now with no HC and any offensive talent!

How dare you imply that I'm a young buck with many, many years infront of me. You b@stard!

Skins would pay the price for Peyton. A Qb can make all the difference in the world. Especially when that qb is a healthy Peyton Manning.

Would you agree that the Falcons and Jets would also be a good landing spot for Peyton? Both have a solid foundation. Both are loaded with weapons on the offensive side of the ball. ..and both have solid defenses. The only thing both teams are lacking is a qb that can take charge, take a game over. Ryan and Sanchez will get there eventually, but....their respective teams are built to "win now", not "in a few years". The Falcons for example.. what do you think Peyton could do with weapons like White, JJ and Tony G? Some could argue that those weapons are better than the weapons Peyton had with the Colts over the last couple of years.

laugh.png NFCE would be the "Division of great Qbs". With Peyton, Romo, Eli and Vick in there.

I hope that was tongue in cheek, Eli isnt elite, he just has an Oline that doesnt allow him to get pressured. I havent seen Eli even hit once that I remember in the last 3 games. I think any QB could put up numbers with that kind of protection.

Eli isn't elite, but he's not a bad qb either. I'd put him and Romo in the same category. Just a tier below elite, but both really coming into their own as they get deeper into their careers. Vick, he's not elite, but, he's definitely one of the most feared (from the POV of an opposing defense) Qbs in the league.

Had the coaching staff for the Bucs not taken a step back, the NFCS would be the "Division of good qbs".

Hard to argue Eli isnt elite at this point.

Really, coming from a fan of a team with a losing record that he couldnt beat? WOW! Now, when was the last time Eli was sacked...when was the last time he was hit...when was the last time he was pressured for God's sake? No CB can cover a WR forever and Eli's Oline is giving him just that right now. You can say hes elite all you want, Ill stick with hes a product of being in NY.

He has the stats and his winning in the post season. What else do you want him to do? Even if you say his a product his still playing at an elite level.
