I am just curious to see how he will fit in with Nolan's defense. It is hard for me to imagine Nolan keeping a zone on one side and man on the other. I think that Aftermath said it best when he mentioned his height and the fact that he is coming off of a knee surgery. If it is true or possible that he won't have that vertical jump anymore? I think that letting him walk would be the best option.

I dont remember him being much of a factor in that game, I do remember him reaggrivating it enough to keep him out of the playoff game though.

well u should go back and look at that game.. he has a couple passes defense and one or two catches... Typical day for grimes... The doc doing the dang surgey siaid it was very minor and only takes a few weeks to regain strength in the knee.. yall actin like this was a mcl or acl ot pataltindon tear... Dang....

Should have never let William Middleton go. He turned out to be a better nickel back than the guy we kept from that draft. Finnegan or Porter would be a nice addition.

I usually agree with ya... ya_boi. But Middleton? What on earth makes you think he is better than Owens or Franks? Have you just watched that many Jags games to know? Not being a smartass, I want to know.

he is also 4 foot tall and coming off of knee surgery. If he cant jump 10 feet he is useless.

I disagree. Grimes reads QBs eyes as good as anyone. I remember in '10 in both TB games, he should have had 4 picks at least in those games if he catches the ball. Grimey has an amazing closing speed on the ball. He jumps comeback routes as good as ANY CB in the league.

closing speed is great, and he is one of the best cover guys in the league, but if he cant jump the taller receivers in the league will just put him in their pocket and keep on trucking. He did a good job of shutting down CJ when we played the lions, but he got major air on both of the passes he defended. If he cant do that, it doesn't matter how well he can cover, elite receivers will tear him apart nd he becomes more of a vulnerability than Owens or Decoud. Grimes will go as far as his athleticism will take him, unfortunately he is coming off of a knee injury and is approaching 30, chances are his best days are behind him.

Well, before he was injured this season, he was playing very, very good. I never said anything about Franks. If my memory serves me correct, Owens was drafted a couple of rounds ahead of Middleton. Middleton was actually given a chance by a team and made the most of it while Owens was given numerous chances and only shows flashes on special teams and when a speedster is 20 yards in front of him.

some ppl dnt get how good grimes is... He is our most aggressive cb in coverage but ppl think he cnt play man when most of his INTs are in man... I dnt kno any other cb who has had more games where he should have had 2-3INTs in the same game... Lil guy is a beast...

I wouldn't necessarily say he shut him down. He had help over the top almost the whole game when we played the Lions.

If Carr is a RFA, he's not coming here.

Depending on how he is tendered, we would be looking at having to give up, at the very least, our 2nd round pick to get him. It's more likely that he gets hit w/ a 1st round tender... and we don't have a 1st round pick to give for him.

The number 2 cb , Carr , is a FA!

Brandon+Carr+Kansas+City+Chiefs+v+Denver+Broncos+ApIXYRg6znol.jpg

^LIKE GLUE!

With Flowers picked too,

We need to Hire Herm's guy who is responsible for picking the Chiefs Cbs!

Then,

one day,

maybe in the near future of the Falcons,

our secondary would be set up for Sucess!

Anyway,

I was just talking about the restricted Balt. CB Webb the number 1 Cb Avail.
