X-Man21
What do you guys think about him. A big corner 6' 200+ lb DB out of Coastal Carolina and he has to be talented being invited to the east west shrine game out of an fCS school. He was also mentioned in the top 20 DBs of the draft and he may be a late 2nd early 3rd rd pick. Should TD bring him home?
J-RoC770
I used to work with a Josh Norman he was lazy as sh1t.

And the draft for potential developing talent?
DawgFan
I may be called a UGA homer for this because Boykin is rated way higher than Norman and he'll be available around the same time you are talking about. Either way, no I want OL.
Smiler11
This should be in the Draft forum...Norman by all accounts has blown up at the east-west shrine practices. With that said, I still can't see him being picked in the 1st 3 rounds, as he's a small school guy who has a big learning curve ahead of him. A-TowN.-
I really like Norman. I have been watching him this week at the shrine practices. Looks very very solid out there. If we can get him in the 5th or 6th we should. Potential solid starter at CB IMO
USAF HART
But shouldnt holes be filled through FA? And the draft for potential developing talent?Well we have 3 very young guys that we are developing and those 3 guys are the reason why we probably won't be re-signing Grimes. Franks, Walls, Owens all have a shot. We don't need another very raw prospect in the 2nd round at the corner position. If anything, we could use a seasoned vet. X-Man21
There are a lot of good options 4 the O line in free agency but nothing is guaranteed. So if a few lineman from free agency are picked up I wouldn't shy away from picking Norman up he is big enough to play in man coverage unlike most DBs on the roster

Flying Falcon
We need taller safeties too. Edited January 20, 2012 by Flying Falcon
blackredfellow
How many g**d*** CBs have we drafted in the past 4 years that have been sh*t.Chevis Jackson, Wilrey Fontenot. Chris Owens, William Middleton, Dominique Franks. Yea, we got two average nickle backs out of that, but that is not a good list. I'm starting to wonder about our FO's ability to evaluate CBs.If we are going to get more CBs, lets get them in FA. We need starters, not guys who will come in and be average/below average nickle backs.
X-Man21
Can't remember any of those guys playing well against man (walls & franks) if this guy is still available after the o line needs are filled, then adding more depth to the secondary is the next step here and if he is still on the draft board it may be a steal here. Only three picks in 2 seasons. He is a hard hitter don't get me wrong but he has not been elite for the byrdz.
BazookaJoe
Who the **** here can give an honest opinion on a kid from Coastal frickin Carolina?Who watches their games?
blackredfellow
Well, we did get D. Robinson through FA. I thought of that when I was writing it.1. Dunta will be a lot better in man coverage, maybe not a world beater, but he will be better.2. One swing and a miss in FA is a **** sight better than 5 misses in the draft. Although I will say I still see upside in Franks, I think he will get better still. Not to mention UDFA Walls. Kid also has NB potential. X-Man21
Who the **** here can give an honest opinion on a kid from Coastal frickin Carolina?Who watches their games? You might as well ask the same question on jerry rice or Walter Payton. After all if he didn't have potential talent he wouldn't even be at the shrine game.
