k-train
I know I know TATF but I figured I'd let the masses know.Where are you getting that info? I haven't seen anyone reporting this yet, and just about an hour ago, I saw where Sean Payton mentioned it could be a long process & that they may talk to guys at the Senior Bowl about the DC vacancy. Darkflight
Darn I was hoping they wouldn't make any improvements this offseason.
theonenotthe2
Just saw this on Saintsreport. This rivalry just heats up. It is going to be so interesting watching Steve Spagnuolo gameplan against the Falcons' offense and Mike Nolan gameplan against the Saints' offense. As if these games couldn't get any tighter. Maybe for season, I will start out each of our two games against the Falcons already sitting on the edge of my seat so that I do not have to waste time getting there by the end of the first quarter. Should be interesting!
k-train
Ok... just saw Glazer & LaCanfora's Twitter feeds about it

I haven't seen anyone reporting this yet, and just about an hour ago, I saw where Sean Payton mentioned it could be a long process & that they may talk to guys at the Senior Bowl about the DC vacancy.Jay Glazer tweeted the information. Confirmed on twitter by Jason LaCanfora. And also by Profootballtalk. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/01/19/saints-hire-steve-spagnuolo/related/You know, it'll be nice to see Spags and Nolan shut down each other team's offense and the games come down to a field goal...oh, wait, that's already been happening...well, the games coming down to field goals, that is. 4LoveoftheGame
I don't see anything on this yet. I know he interviewed but thought they were going to take their time on the decision. I thought Spags was also going to interview for the Colts, I was hoping he would go there.

RHEC
I'm going to be pissed if Espn is all over this when they barely even said anything about Nolan to falcons.
norbendon
It is what it is. We got our guy, they got theirs and the Panthers are getting back a bunch of players who missed this season on defense. The NFC South is going to be one seriously tough division next year. 4LoveoftheGame
Darn Saints, when will they just go away. I liked them having a horrible defense, that was their weakness. I sure hope Spags fails there.
CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
I'm going to be pissed if Espn is all over this when they barely even said anything about Nolan to falcons. Why would you even be surprised about that!
RHEC
Why would you even be surprised about that!Because ESPN supposed to be even with all news, **** even NFL network barely said anything about the Nolan hire.
DaMeatTroughsEgo
Helped the Giants Defense.Yeah, they are doing horribly without him. The Rams did so well with him.
CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
Because ESPN supposed to be even with all news, **** even NFL network barely said anything about the Nolan hire.Haha. The Falcons doesn't get any love from the media!
RHEC
Yeah, they are doing horribly without him. The Rams did so well with him.Cords do most of the play calling, not HC. Their defense haven't really been much the same since he left, their defense just started picking it up at the right time.
RHEC
Haha. The Falcons doesn't get any love from the media!Well what do you expect? We haven't had anything bad happen to our city.
k-train
Well, if they are successful, Spags will just bolt for another HC job in a year (which is why I wanted Nolan over Spags), so f 'em.
Aftermath
Man, if the Saints can get 4 Pro Bowl starters on their DL and another few as backups Spags will feast on us!!!
Guest Negatorris
Spags is overrated. He's good, but Nolan has improved every defense he has coached, with the exception of one. That being said, I hope all our games don't become LSU/Alabama games. No TDs, and 80 FGs. But it's be okay if were scoring 41 of those FGs. :P
