falken
Some fans don't want to hear that. They would rather hear more unfounded rumors on what our late OC said about the NYG game. Some even said, "Our O-line isn't that bad."What games were they watching? FalconFanSince1970
Dam bro we need to put a post count on you. You outta control.I just went to pick up some lunch and heard this piece. He did not throw our Oline under the bus.He threw every Oline under the bus.He basically said it doesn't matter who you are, if your Oline doesn't block you got issues.Killing our Oline? I don't think so.The rest off you will hear it if they post it up.Good grief bro.You went from Ed Reed wants Ryan over Flacco, to Baldy killing our Oline, in less than 4 hours. fansince78
Eli Manning's O-Line is not that good either. He actually get pressured more than Ryan. He knows how to move around in the pocket and plays though. In the no huddle, Ryan actually did this pretty darn well!

The Genesis
lol he didn't kill Flacco either. He said Flacco does some things really well, and other things he doesn't do that well. You have a very loose definition of the word "kill." FalconFanSince1970
Buddy forgot to mention the part where Baldy said the Oline blocked well enough on several plays that Ryan left on the field. Bad message board journalism son.

Bad message board journalism son.I think he assumed that maybe he's the only one that listens to the radio. Also not sure what is "Amazing" about him criticising Joe Flacco, even if he would have. Starting to think falcon_ace is the Double Rainbow guy. Edited January 19, 2012 by The Genesis
jluk
The Oline did enough to get by but Murlakey failed because he did not throw more screens. A screen can make your oline look better and it annoys the dline too.

If you're going to spend all your first rounders and money on skill postion, don't complain about the O-line.Did you watch the Giants-Packers game? Eli had all day to throw. Didn't help that the Packers inexplicably refused to blitz most of the game, but still...

BackForThe2ndTime
I think this is BS. Ppl are trying to use the Oline as scapegoats but if you watched the game you kow it's BS.
EJmusic
Even though falcon ace is trolling, it isn't complete BS. They struggled and Matt gets happy feet. The whole system is flawed. Everyone knows games are won and lost at the line. We just have above average skill position players to mask some of the deficiency at that position. We will know what's really good by next year whether it was the O-line, Mularkey or Ryan. BackForThe2ndTime
They struggled one some plays but not as a whole. Matt was running like a little princess half the game and some of the coaching decisions/playcalling was just horrid. Blaming the Oline is a copout. And blaming Ryan for prancing off even when there is no pressure is NOT the O-Line's fault. Especially when some QBs stick with the play WITH pressure in their face. ENOUGH! There is enough blame to go around. And even if we were measuring I wouldn't give the most blame to the OLine.

He knows how to move around in the pocket and plays though. If you're going to spend all your first rounders and money on skill postion, don't complain about the O-line.Ok. This here is the truth. Our line can not passblock simply because teams collapse the pocket from the inside-out on us. Eli Manning avoids pressure because he can step up into the pocket to avoid pressure, just like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers. It is becoming a league where guards are just as important as offensive tackles. For instance The Aints have one of the best interior offensive linemen in the league which allows Drew Brees to step up into the pocket with such ease trusting that the pocket will be formed successfully. The reason Ryan can't avoid pressure is because he does not have the speed to elude defensive ends off the edge to escape the inside pocket collapsing unike an Aaron Rodgers. That is why this year was so tough on Ryan because we lost a solid player at right guard in Harvey Dahl. Although the numbers in some of the games may not show that Ryan was pressured or sacked that much, he has constantly been under durress throughout the season due to our guards being unable to get a good interior push on Dtackles which results in an unstable pocket. With Ryan knowing this, it lead to him having to dump passes off to checkdown routes and not be able to keep his eyes down the field. The point to what I'm saying is we have a serious problem with our offensive line and it doesn't start with the tackles, Svitek and Clabo are fine. It starts with the inside that needs fixing.

MattyIce222
And please look at highlights of any one of the Patriots games. There have been about 40 highlights i've seen this year where he can sit comfortably in the pocket for 5+ seconds. Even watch the BRONCOS. They have a solid stable interior line that allows the quarterback to step up in the pocket and make good reads down the field. THE AVERAGE TIME MATT RYAN GETS TO THROW THE BALL IN PASSING PLAYS IS 2.5 SECONDS. watch the film boys.
