THE ICEMAN
Are we hyping some of our guys up to much being Homers?Harry DouglasJaquizz RodgersLawrence SidburyCliff MatthewsKroy BiermanCorey PetersWilliam MooreAkem DentAll these guys are pretty talented I think a guy like Sidbury or even Rodgers maybe could of even make a pro bowl.So are these guys just fillers or do you guys think Mike Smith is very poor at player development like I do .For instince just look at the Packers and what they have turned 6th rounder Matt Flynn in to maybe a Ryan Fitzpatrick type of QB. I think thats somthing thats a big part of the game that gets over looked(player development) Like Just from a Talent stand point lets take other players and our guy being Lawrence Sidbury and compare there combine numbersLawrence Sidbury - http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=81224&draftyear=2009&genpos=Aldon Smith - http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=84441&draftyear=2011&genpos=DEBrooks Reed - http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=74933&draftyear=2011&genpos=OLBClay Matthews - http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=57020&draftyear=2009&genpos=olbDaMarcus Ware - http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=55196&draftyear=2005&genpos=OLB
fansince78
One of the interesting things to me about getting new coordinators is a new coach may get a lot more out of the guys that were once good in college and just take up space on the field in the NFL. Some of these guys still have the talent and ability, they just lack motivation.

FalconMama
Interesting, I asked myself the same question over the weekend after watching the playoffs games. When I look at the remaining teams play and then think back on the Falcons they look so far away that it's not even freaking funny. I think we as fans overrate the talent on this team a bit and I think there are a few guys that the Falcons could get a lot more from. What I don't understand is the hype around Akeem Dent. Maybe it's a UGA thing but he's done nothing in preseason or on ST that came remotely close to impressing me.
hardenmj
The only one on that list that has produced in more than one game is probably HD, but even he is overhyped by fans...this may have been due to mularkey, but we will find out this season what HD can bring. So in short, my answer would be yes we hype this guys up too much for what little production they actually provide to the team...is anyone still excited about kroy biermann honestly? blackredfellow
In the case of Douglas, Peters, and Moore... No.Peters is already being recognized by people outside our fanbase as being very good, very underatted, and a tremendous value for his draft position.Moore is an above average player who is still getting better. And HD, don't get me started. He has sure hands, good speed, and runs good routes. I don't think he is a 1 or 2, but in a system that uses the slot a lot (and make no mistake, we were NOT one of those systems) he would flourish. Teams like the Saints and Packers would be able to get him into 1 on 1 matchups in the open field.
B_Lo_Touchdowns
LOL everyone on your list is a good player just not used right. The only one that's over-hyed is Sidbury and Peters. HD, Quizz, Akem, Kroy, Cliff, and Willie Mo are just misused Edited January 18, 2012 by B_Lo_Touchdowns
XXVIII-III
Willy 'Mo is for real, HD has a lot of potential, and we need to see if Quizz can play with the big boys, but I always get excited when he gets the ball. The jury is still well out for me on the rest. Kroy has shown flashes, but just a flash in a pan so far.

FalconFanForLife
Well it's not just our fanbase who thinks we have talent on our team. Before the season we were hyped by a majority of the media as SB contenders this season, and why wouldn't we be after a 13-3 season last year. Even now we hear routinely from outside sources that we have a lot of talent on this team.Hopefully our new coordinators can maximize the production of our players and tweak our schemes to become competitive again next year.
