swift
Im thinking TD and Smitty are a package ..if Smith fails to lead team to playoff success think he will be let go and then TD is fired right behind him so this will allow new GM to come in and hire a NEW HC and decide what to do with Matt Ryan

Mid-Nite-Toker
Easy MS who should have been let go this season because AB is backing TD and MS needed that p/o win this season.

Peyton
Dirk Koetter will be one and done if the Falcons don't win a playoff game.I think actually making the playoffs is going to be a challenge this year myself.
Guest Gritz
Smitty will go before TD does....History of NFL and even more specifically the Falcons shows that HCs get the pink slip before GMs do.

Peyton
Really, Gonna make the new kid the scapegoat - Explain your reasoning behind thatObviously it will depend on how the season plays out, but the Falcons have loads more talent on offense than on defense, so they are going to be more closely scrutinized. If you make a bad hire, the best thing you can do is cut your losses quickly. So...let's hope the Falcons didn't make a bad hire so they don't have to do that.

vabchbirdlover
This poll suggest that we fire either TD or Smitty.Absolute BS on so many levels. Why? We're running out of excuses, coordinators, postion coaches, what's left? I'll tell you, could it be that the talent level on this team is not what all it's cracked up to be? Maybe the problem lies north of MS? Not a popular opinion, but that's what I believe.

JayOzOne
I say that both will stay unless the players come out and stink it up and it appears Smitty lost the locker room. The fact that both would be hired by another team before we could complete our interviews tells me that they are more valuable than many here would concede. Football is a tough sport to maintain a high level of consistency in, that's why different teams make it to the championship games and Super Bowl every year. Firing two people who have had relative success, if not objective success in the eyes of many, in order to promote a coordinator or assistant GM is short-sighted unless the situation totally capsizes. Aftermath
if Grimes walk and we dont make any huge roster moves ..he is def on hot seat ..No 1st or 4th round draft pickHe hired Smittyso? your point? McKay hired Mora & Petrino. A businessman like AB knows its easier to replace guys the lower they are on the food chain. Smitty gets a chance with 2 OCs, TD prolly gets a chance with at least 2 HCs, if not more. TD will be the last of everyone to go, its just the way it is, and it isn't going to happen anytime soon. As much as he talks about playoffs AB still knows how important it is to have a winning team every year.
