slamee101
Good riddance! He's been making chicken salad out of chicken sheet for too long in Nawlins!Agreed. He's catching all kinds of heat when the truth is they're not that talented on that side of the ball.

He's catching all kinds of heat when the truth is they're not that talented on that side of the ball.He hasn't caught any heat. Everybody knows he has done wonders with nothing there. But are they really not that talented? Smith, Ellis, Vilma, Harper, Porter?
Sun Tzu 7
Is this good or bad?In My opinion its bad as they will heavly persure Spags now.Let's not forget Spags is still going to get paid by St Louis next year since they fired him... unless he gets a job coaching then they don't have to pay him as much.I read if he gets a TV gig then he can still get paid in full by the Rams so he may not coach next season. I remember Brian Billick was bragging how he was still getting paid by the Ravens while in the booth a few seasons ago.

MilleniumFalcon
If Nolan and Spags are off the table who are others we are looking at?Last week there were talks of UGA's DC Todd Grantham... we all know how the previous UGA DC (BVG) worked out. FalconFanForLife
Well I am not sure how much these guys are driven by money myself. I think most have a real passion for the game, and someone pointed out in an article that Spags may want to be a head coach again. Therefore, he may want to get right back in a DC position to position himself for that possibility.

Smith, Ellis, Vilma, Harper, Porter?1) you clearly haven't visited their message boards or the Times-Picayune MB (like the AJC message board). He's been getting ripped of late.He got ripped after that Seahawks loss last yer too.2) I think most of those guys you named are overhyped. Smith is the only D lineman they have that can get after the QB, that's why Harper lead the team in sacks. Harper is good in run support but not in coverage...and Jenkins is even worse in coverage and Vilma is the only LB worth even mentioning. At one point Porter got benched b/c he was struggling so much. They're really not that talented, they just came up with a ton of turnovers in 09. kane#7
Have no idea why he left Davis 1 on 1 during that big play on the final drive that got the 49ers into field goal range.... I think Davis was the only person who was going to make a play should've been doubled.

With that Giants pass rush, it might be a long day for Alex Smith if his security blanket Vernon Davis is bracketed in coverage.
Guest Negatorris
Spags has said he is thinking long and hard about his decision, and wants to wait and see what opens up.Since we rushed to hire Koetter, we will probably do the same. I doubt we see Spags in the ATL.
muskokas finest ©
To the guy knocking Drew Brees, here's the real overrated Saint, Greg Williams. Drew's big numbers are there because he is compensating for Williams weak defense.
