Die Hard Falcon Fans, Rise Up!

Im mad too. We were totally embarrassed. However, as bad as it hurts, it needed to happen.

We all agree that Mularkey needed to go. His system presented no surprises. Everybody knew what to expect and the gameplan never deviated. Enter Coach Koetter. Its not a flashy hire, but an efficient one. His system incorporates everything we lack. Our old offensive scheme and Coach Koetters' are similar, which is good. We did alot of good things, but against elite teams/defenses...we didnt have enough variation and options. Bubble screens, Halfback screens, Option routes for the WRs...and the big one, roll-outs. Its exactly what we need.

I personally believe, the biggest thing Ryan needs to improve on is his mobility. Not rushing yards, but passing on the run. If Coach Koetter can add that to Ryans' game...it will open up a different dimension in our offense. In terms of Ryan and his arm strength, how can u feel confident throwing deep, when you never throw deep? He had a tough year with the deep ball, but he has enough of an arm to get the job done.

In regards to Mike Smith, he is on his way to becoming the best Head Coach in franchise history. I think we should be grateful to have him. He also had a tough year, like we all did. However, this thread is about moving forward. What needed to happen, has happened. I believe in our Head Coach, our new OC, and our front office. I truly believe that they want to win, just as bad as we the fans want our Falcons to win. WE THE FANS CAN HELP THE SITUATION BY NOT GIVING UP. LETS STICK TOGETHER, AND BELIEVE IN EACH OTHER, LIKE THE GREAT TEAMS DO. Again, what needed to happen, has happened. We are a bubble screen away from a Championship. Where are my Die-Hard Falcon Fans that feel the same way!!??

Screen? What is this screen he speaks of? RT Koetter mentions addition of the screen game as part of his offense.

Koetter: Are we going to be a vertical passing team? Are we going to be a no-huddle team? To be successful you have to be able to do it all.
