PSSSHHHRRR87
I love getting on these forums after something big like this happens and read all of the threads about the sky is falling. Hilarious. Just because he isn't a huge, respectable OC, doesn't mean he is a bust. And why do fans always want the big names? All of the names that have been mentioned were nobodies at one point in their career until someone gave them a chance. Well this is Keotter's. Give the man a chance to coordinate this offense before judging him. Nothing in the past matters about this guy because of the teams he had, there wasn't much. MJD was and still is that offense. Yes, the Jags were 32nd in the league this year due to zero passing attack, but were 12th in rushing. You have to have a QB to throw the ball and JAX had a rookie in Gabbert and a shaky O-line protecting him. Heck, we destroyed them this year! Our D-line never looked that great all season! Also, JAX dumped Garrard right before the season began, which affects game plans and how you coordinate. The only respectable receivers the Jags have had since Keotter took over have been Sims-Walker, who is no longer with the team, and an over-the-hill Torry Holt. Marcedes Lewis is an underachiever. Garrard and Leftwich were the other two QB's he had, and what exactly have they been doing lately? His stint at JAX is hardly creditable evidence to base a guy on the sidelines after. If DK doesn't pan out, then he and MS will be gone and we'll move onto the next guy. Settle down everybody until the man has a chance to show what he can do with a real offense. PSSSHHHRRR87
Falcons AND Lions fan and the history of these two teams don't give you the ability to see failure?Wow.and name one instance that the Lions (and Falcons for that matter) had a team with the amount of offensive talent that the Falcons have right now. They had Barry Sanders and that is the only player since Bobby Layne in the '50's. The GM and owner put players on the field for the HC, OC, & DC to play and make their game plan around. If there isn't talent, then what do you expect the coaching staff to do? The some ways, the Jags are similar to the Lions with Sander's in that they have one player that is the team. Plus, as we saw this past season with the Lions, a team with the right pieces AND the right coaching staff can get to the playoffs despite history. History is just that: history. it's not that I don't have the ability to see failure in things, it's just that I like to give things a chance and see things play out before I make rash comments about how MS & TD deserves to be fired and whatnot. If Keotter doesn't work out, then I'll be the first one on the wagon to get MS & DK fired. All I am saying is to let it play out before we start chopping heads. The other teams simple sunk to their level. I still wouldn't bet on that team for one game.None of us even chop heads. We have opinions here. If you choose to stay quiet over some fear of what I don't know, then so be it. Edited January 15, 2012 by {Mojo-Risin}

PSSSHHHRRR87
Yea, and then there's triple chinned homers happy about an Edwards signing after the other prospects are gone!FWIW, I didn't like the Edwards signing when it happened. Wasn't a member then, so there's no proof of it on TATF, but after that little boxing stint he had where he beat up someone half his size, I lost any respect I had for him. Another example of an athlete just looking to get paid and then take it easy. Oh, and ya don't have to worry about me staying quiet when things go haywire on these boards or if I have an opinion... I just keep an optimistic view on things. It's the only reason I still root for the Falcons, Lions, and Hawks and the only reason I got through the post-Sanders days of the Lions and the past decade of Falcons and Hawks.
