Rise Up Birds
Exactly...the dude likes to pass the ball but when you cant put 3 or 4 recievers out there because they suck then you have no choice to use up MJD

madman88
Exactly he seems really prepared and with the right weapons he could do a good jobyea and honestly the best options for this team probably would be out of him and clements.. i say that cause billick might not be here long and blank has stated he strongly believes in longevity.. so he wants someone to be around for a while.... I think it is time the Falcons go after and get the best choice though.
Rise Up Birds
These are Koetter's exact words..."It’s not like you’re in 2x2 and you’re throwing quick outs to the outside and stick routes to the inside. You might complete that concept 67 percent of the time, but you’re only getting six yard plays. However, you may complete four verticals 48 percent of the time but you’re getting 18 yard gains, those are the kinds of plays I like better. I don’t like to work hard for four yard gains." Dirk Koetter, OC, Jacksonville JaguarsRead more: http://xandolabs.com/2011/07/dirk-koetter-exclusive-interview/#ixzz1jUumssbk , " Now if that isnt the coordinator we are looking for the who is?? FalconsManhood
BS... look at Jacksonville's pathetic offense, I'm sorry but hiring this fool would be the final nail in Smith's coffin. Hopefully we would have a good DC that we could promote to head coach next year.

LOLjust curious but why have 4 usernames? sounds kinda trolish to me. or maybe you had to use other names because some of your thoughts were stupid.Look I stayed on here in 2008 saying we should trade john parker wilson for a late round draft. but I still kept my name and took some heat. shockerfalcon
That was a surorisingly good read. DK sounds like the anti-MM " I don't like to work hard for four yard gains". I think I would still prefer TC but after reading that I'm warming up to him. I hope those that are blindly opposed to DK read this before posting. Seems like a vertical pass guy who was limited by the talent in j-ville or rather the lack there of.

You could argue that he didn't have the talent either like you claim for Koetter, No offensive line, a washed up RB, a QB with questionable arm strength who cannot connect on the deep ball.We need an innovative OC who is a proven winner, or at least someone with great potential. Signing Koetter is like trading your top pick in the draft for a washed up TE.Sure you don't know if the pick will work out, but with the TE your settling for just average. If they hire this clown, it is almost guaranteed I won't renew my season tickets for next season and once he proves himself, then I can get back in line. Not throwing good money after bad anymore. FalconsManhood
Honestly guys.... the fact that you would expect anything less from an NFL OC shows just how gullable you are.I would hope any OC in this league could spout off great facts about route combinations and strategy in the NFL, fact is he is a proven failure in this league and comes from one of the worst franchises in the league. You can't squeeze lemonade from ****! Not throwing good money after bad anymore. Please don't waste your money on season tickets. We cannot beat good teams with Mike Smith's conservative style, if we hire Koetter it will be more of the same.Have fun watching us put up 40+ on the bottom dwellers and then getting embarressed anytime we play a meaningful game. falconsd56
Nice read. Thanks for sharing.I think sometime MM got too much flack after seeing the Oline sometimes sucking, and then seeing wrs drop pass after pass or QB over throw a wide open wr.Asa play callwer hwen those things happen there are few things you can do.That said there is a mindset change that needs to happen. And he seems to have the right mindset
