DirtyBirdDynasty
The OL is a mess, we need a number of new starters. Heres a look at some potential FAsLT-Levi Brown, in my mind the best potential OT on the market. A former top pick young with good size and athletecism-Jared Gaither, massive and young, missed a year with a back injury so health is a big concern-Demetrius Bell, LT in BUF, dont know anything about himOG-Ben Grubbs, a strong athletic blue chip guard, the best or 2nd best OL on the market, if available would be a huge pickup.-Carl Nicks, a huge talented OG, may not want to sign with a rival but if available would be huge like Grubbs-Vernon Carey, a vet who has played RT and OG, has great size, would be a nice vet at RG-Kareem McKenzie, a RT with good size who could be a fit at RG-Deuce Lutui, a big RG, only 28C-Andre Gurode, would bring a needed size upgrade to the interior-Jeff Saturday, could help Ryan with protection and the no huddle, help his development

FlyHighFalcons
The Levi Brown idea is terrible. Read up on him. He's one of the worst pass blockers out there.Gaither would be a solid/cheap option.Bell won't be worth what he gets. He is a GOOD starting LT, but with so few out there he'll get overpriced. There is no reason to go after a FA C. Just bring back McClure for the last year of his career. He'll be the CHEAPEST option out there, and he's one of the best in the league without a doubt. Also has chemistry with Ryan/the O-line. We can't just tear it all down for minor upgrades. He is the anchor. He and Blalock together in the middle just needs one other solid guy to become one of the top 5 interior lines.

DirtyBirdDynasty
The Levi Brown idea is terrible. Read up on him. He's one of the worst pass blockers out there.Levi Brown 6'6 324 27 years oldGrade: 70 | KeyComment: Brown is a massive lineman with long arms and heavy, powerful hands that can shock and stymie pass-rushers. He is a good knee bender who can keep his pad level down to leverage blocks and has adequate lateral quickness and range for the left tackle spot. He can struggle when out on an island against some of the league's more athletic pass-rushers but generally wins once he gets his hands on the opponent. He has become a pretty good competitor and will finish blocks off once he gets the advantage, but could still use a more aggressive temperament on a consistent basis. He is quick to recognize games up front in the form of stunts and twists and keeps his head on a swivel when free to help other linemen.Gaither would be a solid/cheap option.Gaither missed all of 2010 with a back injury. Why would the Ravens just get rid of him if they thought he could stay healthy? His durability is obviously a concernThere is no reason to go after a FA C. This team couldn't take an inch on a **** QB sneak with repeated attempts. if you think thats an indication of being on the way to a "top 5 interior line" youre delusional
Herr Doktor
Coaching fixes some of our woes. And a year if game time helps. We add one starter, a solid back up and were gold.
Fabs0
Stop kidding ourselves, Grubbs and Nicks won't be available in the open market. Our best shot would be Gaither on a short term deal. If his health is too big of a concern, bring in Anthony Collins who has some LT potential to compete with Svitek and call it a day. Once Johnson is back to full health, the right guard position shouldn't be a problem with Valdez, Hawley and Jackson waiting in the wings. Having one full offseason will be vital for this group in terms of communication and trusting each other.
LADBABY
We do not have our left tackle on the roster. Svitek is useful and couldbe moved to guard/c and help us. We have enough players to have a goodo-line if we are able to find an above average left tackle.I would have 5 Samoans in my ideal o-line. There are some large people fromthose little islands. They can usually move their feet and tend to be warlike onthe football field and play the ukelele off of it.

He has good hand use but needs more consistent technique to gain leverage. He has natural power as a run blocker and is aggressive. His height makes it tough to maintain proper pad level and body position but he has the raw talent and consistent effort to improve.
Atlfanstckndenver
Anyone think Duce Luitui may be a perfect blend of a cheap and effective option for a definate upgrade?
DirtyBirdDynasty
Lutui would be a good fit at RG but unlikely to come cheap, at 28 he's the best "young" guard behind Grubbs and Nicks
