Faithful Falcon
First it was the players wanting to play together to build the dream team. Now, the players that could have gone pro, staying to win. This is what we have been missing for so many years. Imagine if Houston would have stayed last year. He and Jarvis Jones would have had everyone on their backs. Maybe this season would have had a better outcome. I like Orsen Charles, but I wish he would have stayed. I think these kids really want to bring a National Championship back to Georgia.
Infinitepwnz
I agree, but they better put the work in this offseason. Championships aren't handed to ya based on how you look on paper! GO DAWGS!!!
Carter
It's a change in the atmosphere around the team. Justin Houston not being a part of it had a big part in how quickly it changed. Best of luck to him in the NFL, but UGA as a team was better off without him... just my opinion.

Houston and Jones would have been a deadly combination.Houston and Jones would have been a great pair of edge rushers for sure. But Houston wasn't coming back for the sake of anything... he was a me-first player, not a team-first player. Since he left, we've gotten better across the board defensively with many of the same players and true freshmen. Also since he left, he's done nothing but embarrass himself... he came up positive for marijuana at the NFL Combine and has made it no secret that he's happy to be gone from UGA. JasonHairyDawg
i don't want the swagger back that we used to have. i want the new UGA TEAM swagger. there's a difference in confidence and cockyness!
JunkyardDawgBlawgger
Houston is a thug, he was selling weed in high school, and im sure he hasn't changed. He has always been all about himself, I totally expect this kind of thing from him. Don't get me wrong he is a nice guy. But when you grow up in Statesboro in the ghetto you have two directions you can take, DeAngelo Tyson went the other way. Tyson values family and friendships and Houston values money. I know I will catch crap for this, but when you go to school in Statesboro for 6 years some things become apparent. One of them is that there are two types of people from the ghetto, people that have no one in their life to give them structure and values and there are people who have guardians that raise them to have values. This is all races BTW, the boro has a very large lower class and a ton of students. The professors and the doctors have money but everyone else falls in lower or middle class. Houston feels butthurt because Coach Richt didn't even try to keep Houston from leaving. But Richt made a big deal out of all of our returning players this year, which is warranted because they will make the team better. Houston will be another great player in the NFL from UGA but he is in no way a DGD and I have always felt that way. Tyson has always been my favorite player from the boro, he has the family values and the team mentality. I felt really bad when Tyson went down and couldn't play the last two games because he is such a good guy. I hope Houston gets his isht straight and apologizes to Coach Richt not only for this but for representing UGA in a bad manner. Yeah, I think they are upset about the way they played in some of those games. South Carolina, Boise State, LSU, and Michigan State.
Reeves
I have a hard time believing all these guys talked to each, decided to come back to win championships and then wouldn't work hard this offseason to achieve their goals.

Carter
Belin handled our ST, I believe... then it got divvied up between the staff after he left. Unless I'm mistaken. I think we need one person handling it. Lakatos has experience in that area.

I think we need one person handling it. Lakatos has experience in that area.I believe I read that Friend handled place kicking this year.I am not gonna worry too much about our freshman kicker & punter... they can either kick or they can't... only so much you can do about that. My main concern is our coverage units. Richt's comments seem to suggest that we will be seeing less walk-on's on our coverage units. I just hope we have enough able bodies to carry through with that. Don't wanta see a bunch of guys who look like they belong on the intramural field trying to catch Honey Badger or Chris Rainey ever again. frankly88
http://mrsec.com/201...ange-in-athens/At the time of that statement, its nothing that wasn't said by a large percentage of Dawg fans including a buddy of mine that knows (and loves) CMR personally.
