Terry Robiskie For Oc...please No

Recommended Posts

Seems like he can get a passing game going....

Robiskie spent the next seven years with the Washington Redskins as an offensive assistant coaching receivers. Robiskie began the 2000 season as passing game coordinator in Washington and helped the Redskins rank fifth in the NFC in total offense (337.3 yards per game) and passing (228.0 yards per game). He helped running back Stephen Davis total 1,318 yards and 11 touchdowns on 332 attempts, including five 100-yard outings.

I think there will be too many candidates out there that would want to have Julio, Roddy, Gonzo and MR on their offense that we won't have to worry about candidates. But because we seem to be moving forward so slowly is because all our candidates are still coaching teams in the playoffs.

According to wikipedia it is.

he Rooney Rule, established in 2003,[1] requires National Football League teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operation opportunities. It is often cited as an example of affirmative action.

it is for any opening position not just head coaching to keep down any trouble on the black side of thing. if they are mentioning this he may be interested in it and feel that he should be able to do it.

I'm not sure offensive and defensive coordinators are included in "senior football operation opportunities." That's geared more at general managers or presidents. I can think of dozens of situations in the past few years where teams did not interview a minority candidate before hiring a new coordinator; the Jets just did it with Tony Sparano the other day.

What ever the case may be it doe not matter to me as long as they get the guy that fits with what Ryan can do and not try to make him fit in what the want to do. But you may be right that the Rooney rule may not apply to this I may have miss understood what was being said sorry I'm still learning things just stating my opinions that's all.

Pretty sure MM didn't have time to interview candidates before naming Bob Bratkowski his OC in Jacksonville. If he didn't then the Rooney rule doesn't apply to coordinators (which I don't think it does)

Falcons may consider wide receiver coach Terry Robiskie for their OC position.

Also longshots Hue Jackson and Mike Martz

Oh god no, please say this isn't true. I cannot see this happening. If that was to happen it will be a long off season and extremely long season. Stack up on maalox.
