Matt Ryan=MAVERICK
LOSE WEIGHT OR LOSE YOUR JOB!!!! I've discussed this b4, but I wanted to touch on this again. I think there is a simple solution to Turner's issues w/ groin injuries, lack of speed and quickness, needing blocking to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT to gain any yards...Drop 15lbs. If Turner put in the work, and put down the cheeseburgers..there is no doubt in my mind that his body type can be very similar to that of Trent Richardson's (from Bama). I really believe Turner's got some miles left, but he's killing this team and his career by showing up every year upwards of 250 (my opinion). And please...homers don't start bringing up the 1300 yards he gained mostly against teams like Carolina, Tampa, Philly (who every RB ran through this year), and Detroit (another D who uncharacteristically let everyone run through them). He's steadily declining and its HIS FAULT!
Xx FaLcOhoLiC Xx
I totally agree with ya. Not much on Turner but if he was to lose a good 40-50 pounds he would be a complete Ox
Aftermath
Plan B: Set up a buffet at the opposite end of the field on each drive and see how long it takes his fat a$$ to break a tackle. Turner would be running over guys left and right, carrying 3, 4, 5 guys into the endzone on every play. He would keep Weems in his pocket in case he needed someone to throw an emergency block while he put gravy on his potatoes.
Darkflight
I keep wondering what kind of yards from scrimmage a fast and versatile back would have put up this offense. I think a back with break away speed would have gone nuts for the Falcons this year.

TSprings11
I dont understand why guys in the NFL dont try to gain or loose weight as often as they should. Being a high school football player people put so much effort into gaining or losing weight to become a better player

Showtyme8383
They arent telling Mark Ingram to lose weight, they give the ball to Sproles for explosive plays. Turner is a great RB, and trying to ask him to play like Sproles isnt fair. We need to let Snelling go. Trouble
All the backs should be forced to go train with the Diaz brothers in cardio!!!!Those guys would wear our backs out to tears. But if our backs could hang they could gain some motors on them.
kiwifalcon
Or I got another idea lets lessen his touches by about 100.I think the reason he carries the extra pounds is to protect himself against all the hits and punishment he takes if he were 20 pounds lighter his NFL career would have ended 2 seasons ago the amount of pounding and the type of runner he is and yet after all this he's the 2nd highest TD scorer for a RB behind AP and rated 3rd in the league for yards over a 4 year stretch not to bad really. What we want is the Turner of 2008. I'd rather have an every down back but if Turner could return to pre beef cake form I would be more than happy. Quizz will get there, but I think Snelling actually runs more aggressive than Turner

I used to think Jamal Anderson was fat til I hung out with the team after they beat the Vikings in the NFC championship. I don't think he's declining either. Other than playing hurt and the line issues. I don't know if any of you guys saw but the put stats of top rb's that have the most stops for loss or no gain. They were Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, Menedenhal, and Turner was last on that list. And this was the first game of the season so don't try to say Chris Johnson sucked. This was based since 08 when Turner became the starter. I just don't see why ppl are pissed with having a 1300 yard 11 td back. The game is won in the trenches and that's where our problems start on both sides of the ball.
