DarkFalcon
He was the OC for the Vikings in 98. He won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer in 2000. TRENT DILFER. Yea I know it was the defense, but still. TRENT DILFER!
Mega Flare
He was the OC for the Vikings in 98.And they were undefeated until they ran into the Atlanta Falcons Mort Andersen.
Wokezone
He would also be one that Smith could talk to alot privately and it not "draw alot of attention" because of their family relationship
Infinitepwnz
This idea of having Billick is starting to grow on me...You've got to think if anyone can drag him out of the Booth it'd be the ole Bro in law.

Faithful Falcon
Wasn't Billick the OC for the Vikes in 98...Yep, and people don't seem to understand. He, like Gruden has been out of coaching by choice. By the way, to the people that think this man has been out of coaching so long. It was 2006 when his team went 13-3, and with a banged up team in 2007, 5-11. So, the man can coach. The Baltimore team that is in the playoffs now was started by him. Take away Flacco, and a couple of trades. John Harbaugh inherited a good team.

citsalp
I'll highlight some of the key paragraphs. In Billick's nine seasons in Baltimore, his offense never statistically ranked higher than 14th in the league. In six of those years, it was 20th or lower, including a No. 22 finish in 2007. Interesting is that not once in the Billick Era did the Ravens' offense finish with a higher league ranking than their defense. In fact, only once did the defense rank out of the top 10 in Billick's nine seasons. Edited January 12, 2012 by citsalp

citsalp
More. It's long been thought that, when his coaching days ended, Billick would be a terrific candidate for the broadcast booth and, if that is indeed his next move, it might be an appropriate one. Because if the past nine seasons proved nothing else, it's that Billick might be significantly better at talking about quarterbacks than developing them. citsalp
More. Here are his stats, regarding Offense and Defense. Including Min. Faithful Falcon
More.He picked them...He was the great OC guru....What is your point? Those guys were high projected players. Sometimes we call them bust. Ever heard of them before?
citsalp
It's simple I remember when he was heralded as the new Bill Walsh... He never did diddly with the offense, and always had the defense come to the rescue. I'm not a big stat guy, but I must be older than many one this board, beacuse I thought the same thing...10 years ago. But it's been proven, he's smart, articulate, good businessman...BUT sucks as an OC. Edited January 13, 2012 by citsalp
