fansince78
I think this is a real possibility and there is a faction of fans attached to every one of them. If the Falcons make such a deal, who would you be okay with trading and for who?
Trouble
HD is a FA and if we trade a WR it would be White since we traded the farm for jones. Jones was hurt half the season. So no it wont happen.Nobody would make a trade for Weems... except us. Edited January 12, 2012 by danight

Dominique is Manufique
i don't think i would look to trade a WR for an OT. i'd sign a free agent OT and OG.

I did not really want to light up the board with the Roddy White fan club, but since we are already going there...one option they have is to trade Roddy and have HD at number 2 to Julio. I believe White would bring in some interest.
theDIRTYcode
If we are talking a probowl LT, 28 and under...straight up for Roddy White...in a freaking heart beat. LT > WR.
Rai
LT is a far more valuable position than WR. If it's elite WR for an elite LT, you got to take it.

If Jones gets hurts it would be a cluster. No trade will happen and White is still the most targeted wr even with his drops. He is here to stay. GEORGIAfan
depends I guess. He would have to be proven and really young, but im just praying that TD will turn it around and pick some gems for us. I would think he has the talent, especially since McDaniels had the talent to do it for denver( 3 of the 5 guys starting on Oline were drafted during the McDaniels era) and NE is known for their amazing line that gives brady time. pzummo
Joe Thomas for Roddy White and I wouldn't shed a tear. And I am a Roddy fan, even though he had way too many drops this season. A great WR impacts a handful of plays per game. A great LT impacts every offensive snap.
Trouble
It took time to build this O and now we got some pieces in place. We wont just trade them away when we wont even get 50% of our FA`s back.We wont fix problems by creating more.
paulitik
No. Roddy has worn thin on me this year, but it's ridiculous to trade a 100 catch WR. A new scheme would only make him better.
fansince78
Hey, I like Roddy as much as anyone. It is just that there are cap concerns, FAs that we really need to resign and limited possibility that OL concerns can be addressed in the draft. They have to do something and that is one option they may be looking at.

Its a option to consider yes. Likely to happen, no. Every year people step up or players get waived or cut to make cap room or make the final cuts. There will be other options to consider. Maybe a good one, but not a great one. Good would be a huge upgrade over anything we've had at LT for roughly the last 15 years though
lee sunset
Absolutely. LT is next most important position on offense after the QB...
JDaveG
I think we should sign Herschel Walker and then give the Vikings a call..........
FormerFan-RobertAP
Roddy White for a dominating LT? In a heart beat. We need to spread the ball around more anyway.

blizzard_falcon
Yeah, I'd trade Roddy White for someone like Joe Thomas or Jake Long without a second thought. But the odds of that happening are like, zero.

A new scheme would only make him better. One of my favorite posters paulitik but this logic makes no sense. We don't even know what 'scheme' we'll be running next season. The only way we get better is if we bring in an OC that is better than MM or we make the changes to the O-line that MM wasn't afforded. Some of you were/are so down on MM that you honestly believe we magically get better with his exit.Good players make good coordinators.
