They are drafting too high to spend it on a reach for need

Big Bubba
I think the Panthers do what they did last year (According to most gurus and analysts, right after the draft took place).. They reach for a position of severe need. Toward the end of the year, once the rookie starting DTs went down, the middle of the line became alright when the back-ups took over. Not good, by any means, but no longer a position that I would consider them the most dire at. A #2 CB , I believe is the most important thing to get in either the 1st round, or in FA. The play from the guys we have behind Gamble is just embarrassing.
JabooAlwaysWins
bucs= take best player availablepanthers=dline or CBFalcons=wide reciever lolI'd like the Bucs to take a the best LB in the draft...Foster did decent filling in the space better than Rudd did but not dangerous enough to be a real threat. Falcons aren't at the top of my list of "topic motivations". My motivation is the upcoming draft.
Big Bubba
Falcons will trade some talent/future picks, move up in the first round and make a selection this year mark WFW words! Falcon Man™
you have alot of young talent.window will be open in two yearsSOME young talent would be the correct word, but they will not fill all the puzzle pieces by ANY means. I like building through the draft (that's why I was so pizzed about the Julio deal), but I think we get active in FA again and if we can land a stud O-lineman in the draft, then trade for him (just don't mortgage the freaking farm again!!). jungleking
yea i wouldnt say reach eitherbut at 8-9, there are players of need that will be perfect for that pickkirkpatrick-CB alabamaUpshaw OLB/DE alabama ( maybe a better 3-4 player)Quiten Couples DE north carolinaWhitney Mercilus DE IllinoisI hate Coples and Mercilus. Anyway, I think Hardy can be a good starter. The problem is at defensive tackle, and there isn't a top-ten prospect at that position this year. I like Upshaw and Kirkpatrick, but both of those guys play positions that are especially deep in this year's draft. So we'll see what happens.A lot of the issues at cornerback could already be taken care of for the Panthers. Brandon Hogan was supposed to be one of the better cover guys in last year's class, but his stock fell because he tore his ACL and wasn't available for last year. If the staff likes him, cornerback might not be as big a need as we think. They don't have to reach for a guy if they don't like him. I can see an offensive lineman being taken if the staff thinks Otah is done, but we'll see. A lot of what happens is going to be determined by what happens in free agency. Also, the Saints don't have a first round pick either. So the Bucs and Panthers are really the only ones looking at immediate help.
Big Bubba
If they do trade up from the mid 50's back into the first round do you think that's the only pick Atlanta makes this year? And if so do they go WR again?I think they have to man. When ones defense puts more points up than the offense......I think they may just trade their first round picks of the next 10 years...to get the best WR on the board. This would ensure that their offense never sucks again in the playoffs.
Resse
I Say **** no to Coples he does more vanshing acts then Whodini. If we can't get up to get Morris Caliborne then we stay and get Dre Kirk or trade down get more picks and Zac Brown. That's what I hope happens.Caliborne, Dre or trade down more picks and Zac brown. With the way offenses are.going ur in buckle and dime most of the time so another top CB is a must.
